3/14/2005 - Peanut is now up to about 6.5 ounces, and should weigh
more than the placenta from this point on. Since hearing is
more "fine tuned", he\she may respond to loud noises.
Epidermal (skin) and fatty tissue are developing all over
the body to protect him/her when they are
growing inside of me. A substance called "vernix" is
beginning to form on the skin tissue to protect the skin
cells from the long exposure to amniotic fluid.

We were supposed to have our ulta-sound apt. at Fetal Fotos this Saturday, but they called and cancelled me due to the business will be closed for one week to change location. I am disappointed, but I'll try to find somewhere else. Otherwise we won't find out until my Kaiser ultra sound appoitment on March 28th. I guess we can wait if we have to!

3/11/2005 - At Mom's Club the other day we went to Sarah's house to abke cookies. All the kids were more interested in eating the dough than they were about baking cookies. The tray looked so cute when they were finished. They had marble size up to baseball size when they were done. It was a fun morning.

3/11/2005 - We are getting ready for Christian's 30th birthday party this weekend. We have had lots of RSVP's so I think we will have a really good turn out. Yippy!! (Christian's actual birthday is on Monday).

3/11/2005 - Only 8 more days til we find out the gender of Peanut!!

3/7/2005 - We have Karina Love over today for a visit. She is a good freind of the family. The girls love it when she comes over!

3/7/2005 - Little Peanut is growing strong and moving a little still. We have an ultra sound scheduled for March 19th (Maddy's birthday). We will probably be able to find out the gender that day. We are soooo curious! I will let you all know when I find out!

3/4/2005 - The girls put on a little show for us the other night.Check out the pictures. They had their jammies on and were dancing to Christian's loud music!

3/4/2005 - I was in line at the grocery store the other day and Maddy saw the movie, "Guys and Dolls". She picked it up and brought it to me and said, "Look Mommy, it's Frank Sinatra!". This older lady behind me couldn't believe her ears.

3/2/2005 - Week 15: Our baby "Peanut" weighs about 3 ounces and should be about 5
inches in length. It's heart is growing strong and
even though it is little, it is pumping between 20-25 quarts
of blood every 24 hours. By the time I am ready to
deliver, Peanut's heart will be circulating up to 300
quarts of blood every 24 hours. At around the 15th week, a
pattern for the future hairline develops. It can take
quite a bit longer for some babies hairline or even their
hair, to "fully develop".

2/28/2005 - I let Maddy paint my nails after I painted her toes. It was a pretty funny site; She loved it! You can't tell how terrible messy my hands were, but they looked pretty funny!

2/28/2005 - Saturday we had a fun and relaxing family day. We did chores around the house in the monring time. The girls and Christian washed the van and enjoyed the sunshine. It was nice to finally have a weekend with no rain! After the girls napped, we drove out to Agoura for my dad's 60th birthday party. The kids all had a babysitter and the adults went to dinner and a piano bar. It was a surprise to my dad. We all had a really nice time.

2/24/2005 - I felt "Peanut" move on Saturday! It has moved every day since then too! Ohh! It's so exciting! Christian can't feel the movement yet, but it won't be long before it's kicking me hard enough to feel and see!

2/24/2005 - Our trip to the fire station was really cool! The children had a great time. Maddy was scared to go at first because she is scared of the sound of the engines. But, she warmed up pretty quickly. Emma was a little nervous the whole time. While we were there, an emergency was called in, and we got to see the ambulance turn on it's lights and sirens and leave the station. That was the highlight of the morning.

2/18/2005 - Yesterday we met my Mom, Tina, Ashley and Karly for lunch and play at a mall in Arcadia. It was a half-way point for us. It's the first time we had ever met there, but I think we'll do it again. It's so much fun to see the cousins all play together and to get to visit with the fam!

2/16/2005 - For Valentine's Day the girls and I made a large sign for Christian that said, "We Love Daddy". He saw it as his train pulled into the station. Then, we took him for a surprise dinner to the Spaghetti Factory. He liked his surprises.

The girls painted something for me at "Color Me Mine" on Saturday night with Christian. We get to go pick it up tonight. It's my Valentine's present from all of them. How thoughtful! I wonder what it is!

2/14/2005 - Week 13: Our baby weighs about 1 ounce and is about 3 inches in
length. It's digestive tract continues to develop as
inside the intestines tiny villi (hairs) are forming. These
villi will assist in moving the food through his/her
digestive tract. The pancreas has begun producing insulin
and within the baby's mouth, all 20 teeth have evolved but
are not visible. We are calling our baby "Peanut" until we find out if it's a boy or a girl.

(this is not our baby. It's an ultasound of a baby at the same point in gestation as ours).

2/14/2005 - Yesterday Christian and I got to go on a Valentine's Day date. Jen came over to babysit (bless her heart!!). We went to the movies and out to dinner. We saw the movie "Hitch". I highly reccommend it. It was great! We walked around a bit, then went to a nice Itallian dinner. It was relaxing to be kid-less for a little while. Thanks Jen!

2/14/2005 - Nana (Christian's grandma) stayed with us for a few days last week. She loves to spend time at our place with the girls, and we enjoy having her. On Friday night we celebrated Lito's birthday at their newly remodeled home (it looks beautiful!) We gave him a sweatshirt with the girls picture on it.

2/14/2005 - On Saturday the girls and I met met Grandma dori and the rest of the family for breakfast in the valley. It was nice to see everybody. Grandma Dori has been in and out of the hospital with pnemonia the past few weeks, so it was great to see her up and around.

2/11/2005 - Emma loves spaghetti! We stripped her down, put on a bib, and let her go at it.

2/9/2005 - Yesterday we had a fun MnM club day! we went to Tri-City Park to feed the ducks. The children also got to play on the playground, share snacks, and run around in the grass. Maddy loved the ducks! Emma was a little scared at first, but she warmed up to them quickly! The ducks enjoyed our bread and hamburger buns. We'll have to do that again soon.

2/7/2005 -
The 12th week:
Our baby weighs about 7 grams, is about 2 inches long and in an ultrasound will look a bit out of proportion. Our baby has toes, eyes, ears, fingernails and lips, but it may appear that the baby's head is about 1/2 the size of it's body. This will change as the baby grows. (Only 6 more weeks til we find out if it's a boy or a girl.) Yes, we are definitely peeking as soon as we possible can!

2/4/2005 - Emma is now singing songs. She can sing parts of many of the bible songs in the van. She also sings "Jesus Loves Me" and "Rock a Bye Baby". She only sings the title over and over and over.... It seems like it would get annoying, but it doesn't. I absolutely love it!! She's so darn cute!

2/4/2005 - The other night at dinner Maddy was not too pleased with the chicken, potatoes, and veggies served. She looked at me and said, "When I'm a mommy I'm going to have cupcakes, Oreos, and Mac N Cheese for dinner."

1/28/2005 - I had my ultra-sound on Monday. The baby is looking healthy and strong, Praise God! The due date is right on schedule. We can't wait for our new arrival!
