9/17/08: Here we are already in the middle of September. It's going to be my sister's wedding then Christmas before we know it. My how time flies!

Maddy and Emma went back to piano lessons on Monday. This is Maddy's 3rd year and Emma's 1st year. They were both really happy to go. Maddy got back right into it and Emma loved finally getting to play...she has olnly watched for the last 2 years. Robert said that Emma caught on really quickly due to her advanced skills with numbers and letters. Go Emma!

Another first for Emma (drum roll please........) EMMA LEARNED HOW TO TIE HER OWN SHOES!!! YAY EMMA!! She was so thrilled! She came home yesterday from kindergarten with a plastic bag titled, "The Shoe Tying Bag". Inside were 2 picture books about tying shoes and a red Vans tennis shoe with laces. We read the books together and then she tried tying the shoe. She got it on her third try! I didn't even know she was ready (she only has 1 pair of shoes with laces!). I guess she was; it was totally easy for her! Now she has worn her pink Converse tennies every day since then because all of her other shoes are: slip on, buckle, or velcro. Oh, the joys of childhood!

Ava is now cruising along the furniture. I believe she will be our earliest walker. Emma was our earliest at 14 months.... we'll see!?!?

9/12/08: I had a wonderful birthday! Thank you for all my birthday wishes. Lunch with my mom and sister was great. It was a bit rushed, but still lots of fun to see them in the middle of the week. And yes, Christian did treat me like a queen for the night when he got home from work. He had 4 photos of the kids framed for me in a beautiful cherry/ leather frame. It will go perfectly in our living room. He made carnitas for tacos, rice and beans for dinner and he and the kids made a chocolate cake with fresh strawberries on it. We had dinner and cake the back yard and it was a wonderful evening!

I have lots of pix to put up now, but babyhomepages.net has put a cap on my site. I am supposed to have only 2000 pictures and I have 5300! So, I either have to delete a bunch of pix or pay more $$. So, as I am in the process of deciding, here is one picture from my birthday. Love to you all! Julie

9/8/08: Happy Monday! We had a pretty relaxing weekend around the house. Madeline started "Fall Ball" Softball season last Thursday and she had a long practice on Saturday morning. This is off-season for softball, but we wanted to get her into the 8U division to begin practicing what it's like to play in "player pitch". Last year she was in T-ball which was "coach pitch". She is liking her new team. We will find out their color and team name later this week. She will be having a doubhle header every Saturday for the next 3 months (with the exception of 2 Saturdays that they have off). Whoo, that's a lot of softball! Then, Maddy and Emma will both start regular season in January. Maddy in the 8U and Emma in 6U division. Christian will coach Emma's team then. Here we go....

Both girls are back to piano next week too. This will be Madeline's 3rd year taking piano lessons and Emma's first year. They are both excited to get back to that!

Tomorrow is my 35th birthday. I will be meeting my mom and my sister, Tina for lunch at Cheesecake Factory (my choice) in Pasadena. I will have to wait for Emma to get out of school then we'll head to lunch and I'll have to be back by 3:15 to be here when Maddy gets out of school. It'll be short but sweet. I'm not sure what Christian and I will do for the evening. He usually has something up his sleeve... Maybe it'll be a family thing?

Landon is having so much fun with all of his new toys. He is attached at the hip to his Buzz and Woody. He also got the Toy Story movie too. He's having a blast telling the girls that they can't play with all his new stuff. It has usually been the other way around. They just have to get used to sharing their things.... life lesson #1 as a kid!

Ava is doing well with her standing. She can pull up on just about anything. She isn't really "cruising " yet, just a step forward or back every now and then. She also has mastered the stairs (kinda scary!). We don't have a lot of stairs, just two from the toy area to the kitchen. But, she got it! She is so mobile; We can't expect her to stay anywhere for very long.

My friend Karin took some video and photos at Landon's party. She set it to Landon's favorite music and sent it to me. What an awesome gift!!! Thank you so much Karin! I absolutely love it. We didn't take any video, so this is extra special.

...Landon has watched it 4 times already because he loves the music and is enjoying re-living the day. Thank you... from Landon too. I'm sure he'll watch it more times to day also!

9/2/08: Happy 9 month Birthday Ava Claire!!!

Wowee, was this weekend a busy one! Saturday was Landon's birthday. He loved having all the attention on him. He opened a few presents at home in the morning and then we had his party at the sprinkler park later in the afternoon. It was tons of fun. Thank you to all of our friends and family that came out for his big day (especially those of you who fought through the traffic of  the 5 freeway!!) It was a great day for Landon, and it's always more special to have friends and family to enjoy it with.

Sunday was the long awaited for... Disneyland 1/2 Marathon Day. This was Christian's longest race yet. It started at 6AM on Sunday morning. There were over 10,000 people running it. The race went through the "lands" of Disneyland, through the back-lots of Disneyland, on the streets and paths of Anaheim, on the river trail, through the A of Angel's Stadium, and finished at "Downtown Disney". Many of our friends came out to support Christian and Kyle throughout the race. There were people at different mile markers during the trek. Christian and Kyle beat their goal time by 5 minutes. They wanted to finish in under 3 hours and they did it!! Congratulations Guys!!

On Monday we went to Palm Springs for the day to go visit with Poppy, Granny, and Jen Landers. They are vacationing there for the week and they invited us to come up for the day. We had lunch, swam, watched movies, played games, relaxed, and had dinner. The kids even took a bath in the HUGE tub in their condo. It was a great day. Amazingly, we hit no holiday traffic on our way home.

This was a fun-filled holiday weekend with lots of people to enjoy it with. ....now back to the work/school days.... Hugs, Julie

Happy 3rd Birthday to our Baby boy!! Landon turns 3-years-old tomorrow. We are having his birthday party at 2 PM. We are really looking forward to spending the day with friends and family.

My has the time flown by. It seems like just yesterday that we were finding out that we were adding a baby boy to the family. What joy he has brought to us. We love you so much Landon John!!

8/28/08: Today was the first day of school and it went wonderfully! Both girls did great. Emma went into her kindergarten class with a smile and a wave. Not a tear to be seen. I didn't even cry either. We all did well! Maddy started school at 8:30. I took her with the other 3 kiddos. Then, at 10 Lita and Daddy met me at home and we all took Emma for her big day as a "late-bird". After we dropped her off, Lita took Landon, Ava, and me out to breakfast. We had a nice long chat about pros and cons of moving to NY. It was good to hear from her speaking from experience. She and Lito left their families behind when they came to America from Mexico over 30 years ago. There is so much to think about!

***Good News!!!*** One of the early-birds in Mrs. Karcher's class went to another school which opened up a spot in the morning class!! Yay... tomorrow and the rest of the year, Emma will be an early bird. She and Maddy will start school at the same time. I am thrilled!! My life was just made so much easier!

8/27/08: Tomorrow is the first day of school!! Tonight I will take Maddy and Emma out to buy their school supplies and new lunch boxes. While out, we'll get Landon a birthday present too. Landon's party is this Saturday. We are having it at a little sprinkler park by our house. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend, so that's good. Landon is so escited about ihis party and seeing all his friends and family there just for him.

We have been keeping it under wraps for the past 6 months, but Christian and I have been talking about the possibility of moving to New York. There is nothing definite at all, but we're thinking and praying about it. Christian's company that he works for has made it abundantly clear that they would like to have him in Rochester where the headquarters of the business is. We are not being pushed in any way, nor do we feel pressure from the company to move, but it would certainly be a wise financial move for our family. BUT, ALL OF OUR FAMILY is here in California. Niether of us have ever moved away (unless you consider 60 miles away) from our families. It tears my heart out thinking about my children growing up without their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins close by. I am starting to fathom the idea, but it still is very tough! All of our family is in full support of us going. I guess that makes it a little easier, but they aren't the ones that are left with no extended family- we are. On the contrary, the average home price in Orange County, CA is $489,000. The average home price in Rochester, NY is $92,000. The thought of being able to purchase a 2200 square foot house for $150,000 is amazing! We looked at homes while we were there last week- wow! Not that a big house is everything, of course it is not. But it would be nice to move out of our 1100 square foot house with our family of 6! We are going over the pros and cons. We have not come to any decision as of yet. Please pray for us that we feel God's hand in whatever decision we make and that we are in the center of His will while we pray for an answer. This is the biggest decision that Christian and I have ever had to make. It will affect the rest of our lives and our children's lives forever.

8-25-08: New York was wonderful! Christian and I had a great time just being the two of us. We were wined and dined for lunches and dinners the whole time. It was awesome! Of course we missed the kiddos, but it sure was nice to spend somuch time with Christian. The kids did great with the grandparents. They all had good times together. Emma and Landon were kept VERY busy with tons of outings to parks, play places, and the beach. They were exhausted! Maddy learned how to embroider while she was at Lito and Lita's. Madeline designed a butterfly with patterns on the wings. Tete helped her transfer her drawing to a piece of material and then Maddy embroidered it for Tete to make a pillow out of it. Maddy gave it to me when I picked her up. It is precious. She did such a beatiful job!!

Emma has her kindergarten "meet and greet" today. My friend, Shannon, is going to watch the other 3 for me while I take Emma to that. She is so excited to go see her new classoom and meet some of the other kids at school. School starts this Thursday. As of right now, unfortunately, Emma is in the afternoon class (10:30- 2:00) of kindergarten. I'm hoping that today while I am there I can pull some strings and get her into the morning class (8:30-12:00). Emma is used to taking an afternon nap still, and I think she would be much more alert for the morning class, plus, my work schedule is morning, and Landon and Ava's naps would be interupted if Emma is in the afternoon class. It would be easier all the way around if I could switch her. BUT, it might not be possible. We'll see...

Ava is crawling all over the place now. She can go from her bedroom to the kitchen in about 60 seconds. She's getting quick! She is starting to eat more bits and pieces of food rather than all baby food. Last night she had bits of cheese, grapes, and crackers. She does well with feeding herself. Also, she now has the sign language down for "more" and "all done". I love baby sign language!! It's so much fun to communicate with an infant. We'll start her on many other words soon. Animals are my favorite signs.

I have tons of pix to post from our trip and from before we left. But, with work and the meet and greet today, I don't think I'll get to it today. Possibly tomorrow. Luckily, I only have mine and Christian's laundry from our trip (ugh!)... Gramma and Lita washed all the kids' laundry before they packed up their bags for home. What a nice treat. Thank you!!

08-21-08: We arrived in New York safely late Tuesday night.Yesterday, Christian went into work early. I slept in, took a nice long time to do my hair and make-up, and met him there in the late morning to meet his co-workers. Then, we went out to lunch and drove around awhile. I came back to the hotel and swam, hung out, and just relaxed. We went to dinner last night and had the "garbage plate" (a famous meal here in Rochester) at a local restaurant. When we returned we went  in the jacuzzi for an hour or so then came back to the room for the night.

Today, Christian again went into work early and I slept til 10AM!! It's now 10:30 and I'm going to shower and get ready to meet him for his lunch break. We'll probably go out with some co-workers for lunch. I'm going to come back and scrapbook (That's right, I brought it all!) til he's off at 5pm. Then, we have dinner plans at a nice resatraunt with Christian's boss and his wife. I was going to go to the Kodak Museum alone today, but I found out that Christian only has to work til noon tomorrow so we can go together when he gets off.

Upstate New York is GORGEOUS!!! It is so green here!  It is very hilly with lots of water -lakes, streams, ponds, rivers.... Everywhere! The people are very friendly too.

When we flew into JFK we flew right over Manhattan. We could see the Statue of Liberty, a huge baseball stadium (Yankees, Mets??),  and all the tall buildings and bright lights of the BUSY city! I wished we would have had time to get out and see the city a bit, but our flight had been delayed and we were literally running from one flight to the next to catch out flight out to Rochester ariport.

I watched the channel on the plane that showed which states we were flying over. I thought of many of my friends as we flew over their home states. I even tried to text Kristin in Wisconsin to let her know I was right over her, but texting doesn't work 35,000 feet in the air!

We are missing the kids terribly, but they are having lots of fun without us. We've talked to them twice a day since we left and they're doing great. I can't wait to see them!
Well I'm off to go get ready for a lunch date with my hubbie. I'd better go hop into the shower so I'm not late meeting him at his work. Having fun here in New York. Lots of love to you all. We return home on Saturday.

8/18/08:  We leave for New York tomorrow morning.  Ava and Madeline are with Christian's parents & Landon and Emma with mine.  I am excited about this trip and I will tell you all about it when we get home this weekend.

8/15/08: Ava is now 8 months old and she's crawling all over the place! She can move anywhere! She still is really quiet with very few sounds. In the morning often I don't even know she is awke, she's so quiet. She says Bye-bye so cute with the opeing and closing of her hand and she cleary said bye-bye (not ba-ba) with words once. She does sign language for "all done" but it just means that her food is gone, not that she is done eating... she's a little piggy! She loves solid foods,  much more than the bottle. I am slowly finishing up nursing. She was down to nursing morning and night only, but with camping and New York, I am weaning her off totally. She nursed for over 8 months, I'm OK with that. I love breast feeding. It's sad to think I'm almost done forever!

The girls are both very excited to go back to school. Maddy misses her friends and Emma is just excited to go to "Maddy's school". We will go next week to buy them each a first day of school outfit. I love doing that! The girls are also thrilled to be going to spend a few days with grandparents. Ava and Madeline will be staying with Lita, Lito, and Tete. Landon and Emma will be staying with Gramma and Papa. Only 4 days til Christian and I take off for New York...Yay!! I can't wait to fly! It'll be so nice to get away with Christian for a few days. We get to stay in a hotel, go out to dinners, and enjoy eachother's company in the peace and quiet of no children. (We will miss out children dearly, but woo hoo for Mommy and Daddy time!)

8/12/08: We are home from camping. We all had a great time! Kind of a last minute decision, Lita asked if she could keep Ava while we went camping. My immediate response was, "Absolutely not. This is our family vacation and she's part of the family; she's going." But, the more we thought about it and talked about it, the better idea it seemed to be that Ava stay with Lito and Lita. They REALLY wanted to spend time with her and she would be more comfortable with them than at our hot, dirty campground. Plus, the other 3 kids would have more of our attention if Ava didn't go too. So, we let Lito and Lita keep Ava for the trip. I missed her terribly, but she had a wonderful time with them!

Lake Casitas was a lot of fun! Our favorite part about that place is the water park on the campgrounds. The kids have a blast and it's a great refresher from the hot sun for us all. The Landers and McLaughlins are always fun to spend time with! We enjoy their company so much!! We all took turns cooking and doing dishes. S'mores around the fire, walks around the lake, and board games by the lantern... I love camping!! The kids all get soooo dirty- they love that! We're already thinking about where we are going to camp next year. Oh what fun!

8/5/08: We're going to New York!!!! Christian's company is flying him out for training again in a couple weeks and they're paying for my flight to join him in Rochester. I haven't been on a plane since 1999 when Christian and I flew to Aspen, Colorado for a work related event. I'm so excited to see New York. I've never been on the east coast before (unless you count my layover for a few hours in Florida on my way to Jamaica.). He will be working some, but we'll have time to check out the town and visit with some of his friends from there. He has made lots of good friends with all the co-workers in the NY office. But, this time I get to go!!! We leave on August 19th and come home on the 23rd. Yay! We are so blessed to have our parents that are willing to take care of the kids for us too. We know they will all be happy spending time with eachother!

We had a great time at Travel Town with my sister and mom and all the kiddos. We missed Emily, but she was at her Oma and Opa's place. We love that train museum. We had beautiful weather and lots of visiting time.

The Dodger game was a blast, with the exception of the heat. We did enjoy a GREAT game (Dodgers won 9-3) but sitting in the hot sun for 3 hours wasn't the best. Luckily we had lots of water to keep us as cool as possible. The kids did pretty well not complaining and Gramma bought them icee's which helped too. I was really glad we let our good friend, Stephanie keep Ava for the day. She would have been miserable in the heat. Ava was decked out in her Dodger clothes too. We went to church first in our Dodger clothes (we looked very cute, if I do say so myself!) and then left from church to go to the game. What a fun day! **See photos of my mom on the field** We did not go to the game with my mom and sister, but they were there (In much better seats than ours).  My mom was a star for 3 minutes...lol!

We leave for camping on Thursday. We have already begun packing. The kids are so excited!! We love camping!

7/30/08: Poor little Emma! She has been traumatized a little by the earthquake (or her dramatic sister) yesterday. Last night she woke up and came to our bed 4 times! She just couldn't sleep. Both girls were up and down all night feeling like there was another earthquake. They slept together in the same bed, but both were very restless. I thought it was going to be Landon that would have a hard time sleeping... nope. He slept all night no problem. Please pray for Emma; she's very sleepy today. Hopefully her nerves will settle soon.

7/29/08: Yeah...in the middle of e-mailing a group of Baby Home Pages families there was a 5.8 earthquake. It was a long rumbling one. Maddy felt it first and she started screaming which scared Emma and Landon quite bit. Maddy wanted everyone to crawl under something (like she had learned at school). I just had the 3 of them curl up under me in my room until it was over. Maddy kept saying, "let's go get Ava, Let's go get Ava". She was sleeping in her crib. Landon was pretty shaken up (mostly by Maddy's fear). Everyone's fine, but Landon has been a little nervous since it happened. He has been staying close to my side today. He cried about 5 minutes in his bed (which is not like him) before his nap. I ended up letting him nap in my bed so I could lay with him until he fell asleep. I hope I didn't start a pattern here. He's usally a really good napper. We had a few things break: a big candle holder and a couple of picture frames. But other than that, we are all fine. Gotta love Shakin' California!

7/25/08: Ava says, "Mama", "Dada", "Baba" (for bye-bye and bottle) and she waves bye-bye. She's growing up so fast! She is extremely grabby! She grabs everything in site. I can't have anything close to her unless I want to see it in her mouth or on the floor.

Today we went to the public library for a little while. What ever happened to reading books at the library?? The kids wanted to put on the headphones and sit at the computer and watch a story be read to them! It's pretty cool and relaxing for me, but seems so strange! There are hundreds of thousands of books all around; yet, all the children in the library are at the computers... kids these days! Even Landon got the hang of playing a Barney sorting game on the computer. Wow!

Why is that kids today are not potty-trained until closer to 3-years-old?? Is it the parents, the kids, the disposable diapers??? It's so strange! People of our parents generation all had their kids totally out of diapers by 24 months old. Now it is not uncommon to see kids in diapers until 3 1/2. Maddy was over 3 and Landon will most likely be over 3 also. (Emma was just over 2, but that is early these days).  It's kinda funny how frustrating it is for grandparents and how impatient they are with their adult children not potty-training thier kids "early enough". What's the rush? But, more importantly, what happened to cause this major shift?? Hmmmm? Makes me wonder. Any thoughts on this are welcome in the guestbook.

**On a side note, I'm not complaining about my parents or in-laws, just an observation of that generation as a whole.**

7/23/08: Last night I was getting ready to put powder on Landon after I changed his diaper (They are never too old for that baby smell!!!). I told him I was grabbing the baby powder. He told me, "Mommy, I don't want baby powder. I want boy powder cause I'm not a baby."

We are treckin along here into the middle of the summer. It's going by so fast! The girls will be back in school in 5 weeks- and my Emma will be in Kindergarten! Summer has been great! I am loving the time I get to spend with the kids (don't get me wrong, at times it's a little much..lol!). But, it sure is nice to be able to sleep in a little later, relaxingly prepare breakfast, and let the kids watch cartoons for a little while in the morning before we start our day. When school is in session, it's always such a rush to get everybody up, fed, and out the door. I enjoy the calmness of summer mornings!

We leave for Lake Casitas in 2 weeks. We are going tent camping with the Landers and McLaughlins. It's the same place we went camping with them last year. The kids really enjoyed it and so did we. I can't wait! We are starting to get the meals and everything all planned out for our trip. It will be nice this year to have the truck so we will have tons of space to pack everything.

Madeline and Emma have been playing "Spy" lately. They are so funny. They think they are so secretive. They both dress in all black and get the walkie talkies (from Uncle Greggie). They repeat everything twice in the walkie talkies twice (I guess that seems more "spyish" to them?!?) They hide in the house and outside in the bushes. I hear them, "Mommy is in the kitchen, Mommy is in the kitchen" ..."Come out to the slide, Come out to the slide." It is so funny! I get a giggle out of just watching and listening to them. Ohhh the joys of summertime!

Ava's second tooth came in last week. She now has the two bottom ones. You can see them when she smiles. It's so adorable!

7/18/08: Thank you Kristin for doing my beautiful backgrounds on my homepage! I love it!

Daddy is home now! We are all happy to have him back! He had a good time in New York.

We have still been keeping busy with lots of fun stuff this summer. The girls got costumes for their Polynesian Dancing class. They look so cute! I'll have to take some pictures next Thursday. They will do a performance for hip-hop and Polynesian Dance in late August. They are doing really well.

We are planning Landon's 3rd birthday now. I can't believe our baby boy is almost 3! He's not such a baby anymore. He's looking very much like a little boy. If you ask him if he's a big boy he'll tell you,  "No, I'm a little boy." He won't be a big boy until he wears his underwear.... Ugh! Don't get me started on that one!

Ava is doing new things now. She copies the click of your toungue if you do it to her. It makes her smile from ear to ear. She also waves bye-bye. We're working on sign language (more, thank-you, and all-done) but she hasn't done them back yet. She is still "rocking on all 4's", she lunges forward, but hasn't yet made a crawling motion. She rolls from place to place or she pushes herself around on her back. She's such a cutie! She is loving all kinds of food. I make a lot of my own babyfood from frozen veggies. It's much cheaper that way, plus there are no preservatives. I just puree it and then pour it into ice cube trays. She loves peas, squash, cauliflower, plus lots of fruits. She has perfected the fingerfoods too. The Gerber rice puffs are her favorite, but Cheerios are great too. She's a little piggy!

7-14-08: I don't know what's up with this "stories page" of my website. I can't seem to get the background right so that you can read the words clearly?!!? I'm working on it.

This past weekend Christian has been in New York. He doing well. He returns home on Wednesday afternoon. We miss him here! Saturday night I took Madeline and Emma to see the play of Beauty and the Beast performed by the Fullerton Children's Repertoir Theatre. It was FABULOUS!! The girls loved it and so did I. They both wore their Belle "gowns" to the show. We had a great time. An 8th grader, Kayle, from our church was in the show. It was a lot of fun to see her play the part of Cogsworth!

The VBS performance and BBQ went great on Sunday. We all had a good time and took a very good nap when we got home in the afternoon. VBS was tons of fun. I'm glad it's over; it certainly takes a lot out of us- but worth every second! We're off to swim lessons now. Lots of Love to you all....

7/12/08: Eleven years ago I married the man I love!! Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband. Unfortunately, he left at 5 AM this morning on a business trip to Rochester, NY. So, we don't get to spend our anniversary together today. BUT, yesterday he was able to leave work mid-day (since he is working the whole weekend!) and we had a wonderful day celebrating our anniversary. We went and had a couple's massage at "Massage Envy" and then went to lunch at a little French Bistro in the mall.  We only had a few hours to spend together amongst the busy-ness of the week, but it was a lot of fun to take off just the two of us in the middle of the day. I was even able to sit right next to Christian in the truck since it has a bench seat. It was like we were teenagers! We hadn't sat that close while driving since we were dating when he had his little beat-up "Cowboy Up" truck. It was so much fun!! We had Triann babysitting at home with the kids and they love her! It was fun few hours before I headed to church for our last night of Vacation Bible School. VBS is now over. It was a fabulous week with a great group of kids. We had around 90 kids total for the week. The theme for the week at "SonWorld Adventure Park" was "Choose Jesus" and we pray that many of the children will do just that!!

I didn't take a lot of pictures at VBS, but there was a photographer for the week, so possibly I'll get some pix from her later. We have our performance and BBQ on Sunday. And then we'll wait a whole 'nother year for VBS to come around again. I can now (at the end of week) say, "I LOVE VBS! If you ask me the week before VBS, I'm always a bit stressed out and have the opinion of "Ugh...VBS is almost here." Isn't that awful?!?! But honestly, I love the week and it has such a great impact on kids! If you haven't signed your kids up for VBS somewhere...look around at your local churches. I'm sure you'll find one doing it. It's the best gift you can give to your children this summer!!

7/8/089: VBS went great last night! We're having lots of fun!

7/7/08: This is the busiest week of the year for me and my family! VBS week is here!!!! Tonight is the first night and it will go every night Monday through Friday and then a performance on Sunday. We are doing Gospel Light's "SonWorld Adventure Park". It's going to be tons of fun with lots and lots of entertainment for Maddy and Emma. They love VBS! Christian will have Landon and Ava most of the weeks nights. I am the director so most of my work for VBS has been over the last 4-5 months. This week I get to sit back and watch all of the volunteers I have recruited do their stuff.  I probably won't have much time to update this week because of how busy we'll be. Bummer, cuz I have lots of cute pix form the 4th of July to get up. Anyway, off I go........... say a prayer for our week and all for all of the visiting families that will be exposed to the love of Christ through this fabulous outreach this week.

7-03-08: This morning I was going to the bathroom and Landon came in (when you only have 1 bathroom, modesty goes out the window!) Here is the coversation we had:

Landon: "When Daddy goes pee he goes like this." (He pulls up his shirt a bit and sticks out his pelvis). "Why do you pee sitting down?"

Mommy: "Because I'm a girl and girls sit down to go potty."

Landon: "Boys stand up cause they have a penis."

Mommy: (trying not to laugh)...  "That's right, boys have a penis and girls don't."

Landon: "Daddy has a penis just like me. We're boys."

Mommy: "Uh-huh, you and Daddy both have a penis."

Landon: "But Daddy has a whisker penis."

Laughing only on the inside, I immediately called Christian to tell him what Landon said.... Boys are so funny! Hmmm, does all this talk mean that Landon is actually thinking about using the toilet?!?
