4/11/08:  A little insight to our day today....

"Mom, will you please put on your happy face?" ~Landon

I guess you can imagine, potty training isn't going so well. Landon has had 5 accidents and no successes today. And it's only 11 AM. I hate potty training. It tries my patience.

Potty Training Time!!!

4/10/08: The time has come to potty train Landon. We have dabbled in it a bit over the last couple of weeks, but nothing serious. I decided that it's time to try. Madeline wasn't potty-trained daytime until 3 yrs, 2 months old, and night-time at 4 1/2 years old. Emma was potty trained day and night by 26 months old.... kids are all so different! We'll see where Landon falls in the mix. He is 2 yrs and 8 months now and this is our first attempt. We bought underwear for him two weeks ago. He chose: Thomas the Train, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and dinosaurs. We have been talking about "Big Boy Underwear Time" for a few weeks. He knew it was coming and he was so excited! This morning when he woke up at 6:45 I told him he was not going to wear diapers today... It was big boy underwear day!! He happily chose which pair of "Chonies" (Spanish for underwear) to put on until................. he walked in them. For some reason, he was not happy about wearing his underwear. He wanted his pants on and he wanted a diaper!! He cried for the first 30 minutes. He sat on the potty and peed in it. He got 2 MnM's when he peed in the potty. After the MnM's he was doing better. All in all today, he had 7 accidents (one being poop) and 7 successes. So, we're 50/50 for today. It doesn't seem like he really knows when he's gonna pee until he starts going, so I'm not sure if he's quite ready. Although, one time tonight he said he had to go and then went in the potty within 2 minutes. So, we'll see??? We'll give it another try tomorrow and see how he does. I'm going to give it a good few days of all day underwear- no leaving the house. If he is doing well, we'll continue. If in 3 days, he's still clueless, we'll quit and try again in a couple of months. The last thing I want is to traumatize him... I don't mind 2 kids in diapers. The cost of diapers is insane, but the actual changing of diapers, I don't mind. He'll get this in his own time. When he's ready, I'll be ready.... It'd be nice though if it happened this first try!

PS. The girls have been sooo great with Landon's potty time!! They are loving being little Mommies. They like to give him his MnM's and they like to entertain him when he's on the potty. I love it!

4/10/08: Madeline is on Spring Break this week so I decided to take a couple days off of work, take the kids, and go visit my family in Agoura. Christian had to work so it was just me and the kiddos for a couple of days (poor Daddy had a quiet house all to himself for three days.......) We went up on Monday afternoon and my parents watched the kids while I went out to dinner with Tina and Jen...Cheesecake Factory- Yummy! We had a fun evening staying out til 11PM. The kids stayed the night at Gramma and Papa's while I stayed the night (with Ava) at Tinas' place.Tuesday we went to the Women's Bible Study at my Mom and Tina's church (my "home church"),visited old friends and showed off the kids. We went to lunch and then picked up Tina's kids from school. That night we celebrated my Moms birthday with family at Gramma and Papa's place and then all of us went to spend the night at Tina's. Wednesday we went to the park with Auntie Manda and then headed home from there. It was so great to see everyone. The hours just speed by and then it's time to turn around and come home! We love being out there... Thanks Mom, Dad, Tina & Greg and the girls, Amanda & Luis, and Jen for a very fun visit! We love you!!

04/03/08: Trace Adkins has a new song out called "You're Gonna Miss This". When I first heard the song, it brought tears to my eyes because I know this time of life that I have small children is just going to tick away so fast. Everyone says it to me...  "Oh they grow so fast", "Don't blink", "It seems like just yesterday mine were that small", "You forget how little they once were"..... We hear it all the time from family, friends, and strangers alike; It must be true. I have waited all my life to be a wife and mommy. It's what I've always dreamed of. It's so hard to believe that I'm in the midst of it now and it's gonna pass like the blink of an eye. It seems like just yesterday that Christian and I were dating. And here it is, almost 11 years later, we have 4 kids!

When you're in the middle of a temper tantrum in the toy isle, "poop up the back" diaper change, or middle of the night throw up all over the sheets,  a screaming sibblings' fight, or spilled milk at the table,  an unconsolable cry, or a hungry infant at dinner time,  potty training time, or crayons melted on the mini-van upolstry,  listening to The Wiggles for the 1000th time, or tears rolling down their cheeks when we leave them with a babysitter,  shoving things under the bed when they said they've cleaned their room, or the ever familiar- "That's Mine!!"......

"You're Gonna Miss This" and so am I!

Here is the song and video by Trace Adkins... Turn up the volume and grab a tissue.

4/1/08: This morning the girls called Christian and told him the toilet was overflowing, water was coming out of the bathtub drain, the water was flowing from the bathroom into the hallway and into the the kids' rooms!! Then in sync they said, "April Fools!" They really had him going though!

3/31/08: What a weekend! We started off the weekend with Madeline's slumber party on Friday night. We had 8 little girls for the night and did they have fun! We did jewlery making, a bookmark craft, pizza, and the movie "Enchanted" on Friday night. They finished the movie around 11:00 and then they climbed in their sleeping bags. They stayed up and played for awhile. I told them they needed to talk quietly after midnight. They did pretty well. They were all asleep by 2AM. They did great! On Saturday morning Christian went out to get them doughnuts and then we went in the backyard to plant fowers and vegetabels in little cups. All the girls seemed to have a good time and we kept them very busy. I would do it again....in fact, we may have a slumber party for Emma's birthday in May....We'll see???

At our game on Saturday, Emma got her first hit! She has been batting with the T every time, but this game she hit 2 out of her 3 ups at bat from a pitch and once from the T. Go Emma!! She won the "Golden Game Ball" for her tremendous improvemnet. Maddy has not used the T all season. She is a really good hitter. Both of our girls are doing so well! Madeline did really well congratulating Emma on getting the game ball. She was envious that Emma got it and she hasn't gotten one yet. It's always hard when only one child gets something special. We were proud of Madleine for being happy for her sister.

Christian and I went to the George Strait concert on Saturday night. I got him tickets for his birthday. The concert was fabulous! "Little Big Town" was the opening acr for the concert. They were great too. It ws a fun date! Two nights in a row to sleep at 2AM.... what are we thinkin??

To top it off we had a children's event at Chuck E. Cheese's after church on Sunday. There were about 20 kids that joined in. Christian took Landon and Ava home for naps and I took the Madeline and Emma to Chuck E. Cheeese's. Fun, Fun Fun!! What a weekend!

3/25/08: We had a wonderful weekend full of activities. Friday night we went to the Good Friday service at church. I did childcare (along with Emma, Landon, and Ava) and Christian took Madeline to the service. It was neat to hear from Maddy all that she learned from the service. It was interactive with hands on things to remind them of the crucifiction (nails, a cross, a hammer...) They walked to different stations of items. I wish I could have been in there, but I was covering the nursery for someone who had invited a guest to the service. But I'm glad that Christian and Maddy got to share the experience together as Christian explained every station to her.

Saturday was a jam packed day with the egg-stravaganza and the girls had a softball game. They came to the egg-stravaganza in the morning and got to do the games, crafts, and bouncy slide, but they had to leave before the egg hunt and puppet show. So, we did our own hunt for them at home when they got home from their game. They all had fun with that. Then we played outside in the sprinklers for awhile...it was 88 degrees on Saturday!

On Easter Sunday the kids woke up to Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny and Easter buckets (with sand toys) from Gramma and Papa. We went to church and then headed to the park for a picnic with Lito, Lita, Tete, and Nana. It was a gorgeous day to be outside! They gave the kids more fun gifts and candy. They love presents! The hit gift this year were these rabbits that were filled with jelly beans. When you wind them up, they walk and "poop" jelly beans. Maddy, Emma, and Landon got a kick out of em'! They are still laughing at them. Too funny! It was a fun and relaxing day at the park; we all had a fabulous time!

3/21/08: I finally updated my slide show on the front page to reflect our family of SIX. It had stopped at Landon's first birthday, but now it is current...including our little Ava Claire. Watch our family grow........

I was browsing through old photos and I came across these ones. They are some of my favorites!! Madeline was 3 1/2 and Emma was 16 months. We do baby sign language in our house starting at about age 6 months. This book that they are looking at is "Baby Signs". It was sooo cute! I remember this day like it was yesterday... Maddy chose to read to Emma right when they woke up in the morning. (Those were the days when we woke up and didn't have to rush to get anyone anywhere!).... Enjoy the pix!

3/19/08: Happy Birthday Madeline!! I was right. Maddy was up and in our room at 1 AM asking to open presents. I said no, but let her come into our bed. All of our kids LOVE to sleep in our bed with us, but we rarely ever let them because we don't want to make a habit of it at all. Madeline was thrilled to be able to climb in and she did actually go back to sleep. She opened a couple of small presents this morning, but she has to wait til tonight to open her big one (shhhh.... a Hannah Montana comforter and pillow). Christian's going to make "Baked Ziti", Maddy's favorite for dinner and then we'll do a little celebration with the 6 of us. She is doing a slumber party next week with 6 of her friends...woo hoo!

3/18/08: Tomorrow is the birthday of our first born! I can't believe we have been parents for 7 years! It seems like just yesterday that Christian and I could drop everything and take off whenever and where ever we wanted. And here we are 7 years later with 4 children! My how time flies! As most of you know, Maddy is crazy about holidays, especially about PRESENTS!!!! I have no doubt that tonight will be a restless (possibly sleepless) night for her. She gets so excited about presents that she can hardly sleep! Here it is 9:30 and she's still up (she has been in bed since 8:00). That's our Madeline; Gotta love her!

On Sunday we had a combined birthday party for her and Christian with family in our backyard. There was rain in the forecast, but it never came, Thank God! Our tiny house wouldn't fit all of our extended family comfortably...but we would have made it work. I'm glad the weather held out for us though. It was a beautiful day! Thank you to all of our family that came to the party and thanks for the wonderful presents for both Christian and Madeline.

balloons 3/14/08: Happy Birthday to my Hubby! Christian is 33 today! Happy Happy Birthday Baby, I Love You!

We will be going to a pizza party with the softball team tonight and then Christian and I are going out to an Irish pub to hang out and celebrate. Woo hoo!

3/11/08: Ava laughed for the first time yesterday! She was soooo cute! I was talking to her and playing peek-a-boo. When I loudly said "Boo!" to her, she laughed! I tickled her under her chin and on both sides of her collar bone, she laughed again. She did it about 8 times. But, when I went and got the video camera, she wouldn't do it again. Oh well, I'm sure I'll catch it on video soon. She's such a doll!

I have 2 weeks worth of pictures to put up on my site, but just haven't had the time to sit down and do it! I'll try to get them up soon.

I e-mailed Kate, from the TLC show "John and Kate plus Eight" and asked if she and John would do a speaking engagement at our church. She e-mailed me last week and said yes! We ironed out the details of the $$ and she gave me some available dates (January - March of 2009 ?!?!?). I need to take it our staff meeting and talk about it with our pastoral staff.... Hmm?!? I just may be meeting and hosting my favorite TV show's stars!! Oh My Goodness!!!! Would that be the coolest?! If they come, all of you local CA friends can come to my church to see them! Woo Hoo!

We had a second interview with Kaboom this morning. It's looking good..... Keep sending up the prayers for our playground grant! Thanks!

3/6/08:  Landon has developed a stutter over the past month. He talks A LOT, but recently he has started stuttering the beginning of most sentences. Most specialists (on the internet) say that it is perfectly normal for 2-year-olds to begin stuttering, but I think I'll talk to the pediatirician about it on his next visit anyway. It's actually kinda cute, but I wouldn't want him to have to deal with it as he gets older.

Emma recieved her prize for counting to 100. She got one of those writing boards (that were around when I was little) with the black sticky board and the clear page with the little red plastic pencil. Remember those? It was cute how excited she was about it!  I think the fact that she was recognized for her accomplishment was more reward than the actual prize though. She felt pretty special.

Ahhh! This has been the craziest week! Even though I only am supposed to be working 9 hours a week in the office, I have been goin' non-stop trying to get this grant approved. I am not a "grant writer", so it hasn't been that easy for me.... but keep praying! The pastor and I had a 2 hour phone interview with Kaboom (the non-profit organization) this morning and I think it went really well. We'll see what the next step is. I am so excited about this opportunity!! Wouldn't that be the coolest if we got this $50,000 grant for a playground?!?!? PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!

3/3/08: Today in Emma's Preschool class her teacher made an announcement for the students. She gave them the challenge that if any of them could learn to count to 100 before the end of the year (in June), she would buy them a special prize. Emma told her she could already do it. In disbelief her teacher said, "Let's hear it." Emma did it! Her teacher wasn't prepared for anyone to do it today so she didn't have a prize for Emma. So Emma is awaiting her prize on Wednesday. Go Emma!! That's our girl!

2/29/08: Happy Leap Day! It's been a week since my last update..wow! I don't usually go that long. I've been so busy though! I started teaching my college class this week and I've had a lot of prep to go along with that. Also, I am in the process of working on a grant application for our church to get a playground. It is a very long process to type out the application. It needs to be done by Monday and I don't see how it's going to get finsished! But, I'm sure it will. There are other applicants for this grant, but it sure would be nice to win it. It's a $50,000 playground with ground cover, gardens, seating and everything! Our church could really use it!

Ava is doing very well. She is picking up her head when she's on her tummy now, she smiles like crazy, and she has started sucking her thumb every time she goes to sleep. Maddy and Emma were both thumb suckers, so I'm not surprised. As difficult as it is to break the habit, thumb sucking babies certainly are happy ones. It's nice that they can soothe themselves. Landon sucked his thumb for about 6 weeks as an infant and then stopped, so who knows? Maybe Ava won't be a thumb sucker like her sisters. Maddy quit when she was about 5 1/2 years-old. Emma still sucks her thumb (at age 4 1/2).

Have a wonerful weekend. We have a busy one with Cheetah Girls' softball and my Dad's birthday. Lotsa love! ~Julie

2/22/08: Our children have way more toys than they know what to do with...as most kids do. At Christmas and Birthdays we sometimes will take half of the toys and put them away in the garage for a "rainy day". It is so exciting to bring out a new toy in January or February when all the favorite Christmas toys have lost their "glitz". Well, some of the toys are duplicates or close to duplicates of toys that they already have. Due to horrible return policies at Toys R Us and Target these days, we tend to regift at times...(I know, tacky, I admit it!) Anyway, when we were at our good friends party on Sunday we had wrapped this adorable V-Tech toy (Landon had gotten for his birthday and then another one for Christmas) and gave it to the birthday boy. It was wrapped up real cute in Cars paper. When the mom opened it and the 40+ people in the room gave the oohs and aahs of what a cute toy it is. It's all quiet and Madeline (in her grown-up voice) says, "Oh, we've had that for ages!"  Oh my Gosh!!! I was so embarrassed! I couldn't believe she said it. I was in the other room feeding Ava so I didn't see everybody's reaction to it. But, I certainly did hear Maddy and we all pretended like she didn't say a thing. My goodness, they certainly do catch you off guard sometimes don't they?!?

( Brian, Sheri, and Isaiah, Hope you like the toy...Landon likes his..hahaha!)

2/20/08: It is raining today and has been since last night. Our opening ceremonies for softball is supposed to be on Friday night and Opening Day is supposed to be on Saturday for our first game. The weather report says there's 80% chance of rain both days :(  The Cheetah Girls will be so disappointed if their first game is canceled! I hope the rain lets up soon!

I begin teaching my college class next week. I'm teaching "Tutoring Young Readers" at Santa Ana College. This will be my 3rd time teaching it. It's only offered Spring semester. I enjoy teaching the class; it's nice to be back in the education arena.... even if it is only 3 hours a week. (That's about all I can handle right now anyway!)

The other day Landon wanted to play outside. I opened the back door so he could go in the backyard. He looked up at me and said, "No, I wanna play in the BIG outside!" (He meant he wanted to play in the front yard....too funny!)

2/19/08: On Saturday I went to the Costa Mesa Scrapbook Expo with my friend, Araceli. It was so nice to have an entire day without children. I hadn't done that since before Ava was born. We left for the expo at 8AM and I didn't return home til after 11PM. Wow! I pumped milk all day long. I talked to Christian around 11:30 and he said it took him almost 2 hours to get Ava to take 3 ounces of her bottle. She really does NOT like drinking from a bottle..uh oh! He switched to a few different nipples throughout the day, but nothing really satisfied her. At about 6PM he called me (with Ava screaming in the background) and asked if I could come home to feed her. Of course I did. I came home to nurse her and then took her with me for the remainder of our scrapbooking time. She's so quiet and happy that it was no biggie to have her with me. I am so thankful that Christian took the time to care for the kids all day and put up with Ava's fussiness with the bottle. All in all he still got a lot done with the kids. He washed and waxed the van, (with Ava in the Snuggli) he took them to Burger King for lunch, and they went to the barber to get Landon's hair cut. They also shopped for and baked Miley Cyrus's favorite recipe for dinner (baked ziti, the recipe out of Maddy's "Miley magazine"). That's more than I get done in a day.... and I feed Ava in 20 minutes. God bless Daddy!! He is a terrific Dad!! Thanks Baby! (Man- we really have to work on the bottle thing though! Any suggestions??)

Yesterday Tina and I took the kids to Hullabaloos for a fun filled day of bouncing and playing. It was so much fun for all the cousins to be together and play. It was funny how they paired off in two's for the day. Ashley with Emma, Maddy with Karly, and Emily with Landon. Usually they all kinda hang out together. But, yesterday they enjoyed having one partner the whole time. It was really cute! Karly and Maddy spent a lot of time in the Kareoke room singing Hannah Montana songs. Emma and Ashley (our two very ACTIVE ones) played and bounced the whole time. Emily cared for Landon and let him go where ever he wanted- Thanks Emily! Tina, Ava, and I stayed in the "Mommy's area" and visited. It was a fabulous day!

2/14/08: Happy Valentine's Day! The kids woke up to presents and Valentine's breakfast. We always do powdered donuts and pink milk on Valentine's Day for breakfast. I also buy plates, napkins, and other Valentine's decorations to make the morning special. I wish so much that Christian didn't work so early, the kids and I have missed him for Valentine's breakfast the past few years.

When Christian and I took a class called "Growing Kids God's Way" 5 years ago, we took this quiz called "Learn your Spouse's Love Language" based on the book "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. There are 5 catergories in which people give and reveive love. 1. Words of Encouragement 2. Acts of Service 3. Gifts  4. Physical Touch and 5. Quality time. After taking the quiz, we found out that Christian's love language is Words of Encouragement and mine is Physical Touch. There is also a book titled the "Love Languages of Children". I recently read this book...GREAT book! Anyway, I bring this up to tell you a story of Maddy yesterday and last night. Keep in mind, Maddy's love language is gifts. Here it is....

After school yesterday Madeline decided to make wrapping paper and wrap gifts for each person in the family. For me she took 1 of my bubble baths and a lotion. She put it in a gift bag with tissue paper. For Emma, Landon, and Ava, she wrapped special toys from the toy box in individual gift bags. For Christian she wrapped his asthma enhaler (that he often misplaces) and put a Christmas bow on it and put it in his briefcase. So, we all are getting "presents" from Maddy. She is giddy with excitement about her presents for us. (Not only do you enjoy receiving love in your "love language" but you also enjoy showing your love in this way too- obviously for Maddy) Well, Madeline went to bed at 8PM the night before Valentine's Day so excited about the gift she would receive (she knew she was getting a Miley magazine, but she hadn't looked at it yet). She got up at 11PM, at 1AM, at 2AM, at 4AM, and at 5AM to ask if it was time to open presents yet. As much as I wanted to scream at her to go back to bed.... each time I kindly told her it wasn't time yet. Finally at 5:30 in the morning when Christian was getting ready to leave for work, I let Maddy open her gifts, a Miley magazine and a big velvetty coloring board. She was soooooooo excited! She was doing her Hannah Montana quiz in the magazine and coloring on her board until the other kids (and I)woke up. As much as I wanted to mad about Madeline being up all night, I had to keep in mind her love language is "gifts" and I don't want to crush her excitement. After all, she was just as excited for 7AM to come around for us to open the gifts she had wrapped for us. Actually, Emma and Landon were thrilled to open presents of their old toys!?

On a side note...It was like pulling teeth to get Emma out of bed to open her gifts...her love language is quality time- not gifts!

My mom came over today for Valentine's Day. The girls were at school. We went shopping and out to lunch. It was a great day! Thanks Mom for driving out for a fun day!!

2/13/07: Today was just one of those days.... Madeline got home from school today and her carpool mom dropped her off. She came into the house and dropped her backpack on the floor and burried her face in my tummy and cried. I asked her what was the matter and she went on with a list of how "Nobody wanted to be her friend today". It broke my heart! Maddy has lots of friends and she is a well liked kid, but today that wasn't the case. Today was the American Heart Association's "Jumprope For Heart" and Darby didn't want to jump doubles with her. Her favorite 3rd grade buddy reader, Julia, didn't want to read with her. The other 1st grade classes celebrated with Valentine's parties today and Madeline's class isn't clelebrating til tomorrow. On the way home Miriam had a cupcake and whe wouldn't let Maddy have any. (Doesn't it remind you of that book, "Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"?)  Life is rough when you're in first grade! Even though all of these things seem like no big deal, when it's your baby coming through the front door in tears, you just want to make it all better. Tomorrow has got to be a better day. We know it will be!

2/12/08: It's so nice to be able to spend the day at home today! We have been so busy this past week! The girls started softball last week. They have practice Mondays and Fridays. Madeline has piano on Thursdays and we have Pioneer Clubs on Wednesdays. It's crazy! Softball games will start in a couple weeks and it will get even busier. Tis the season! I love to go to their practices and games. Christian is the coach, so it's a whole family thing. I especially love Saturday games. It's so fun to take the whole family to the field to play and watch the game. I love it! The girls named their orange and black team last week. They are the "Cheetah Girls". Cute!

This past weekend was a full one! Friday night Emma had the rehearsal for the wedding (while Christian and Maddy were at practice). Saturday was consumed by hair appointments, wedding pictures, the wedding, and the reception. It was beautiful and an honor to have Emma be a part of it. Kali is Emma's Sunday school teacher.Out of all the children in her class, she chose Emma. Emma was thrilled to be a part of it! She did a wonderful job of walking down the isle and dropping her petals. She stood up with the wedding party for the whole wedding and then when she came back down the isle she dropped petals again (nobody told her she wasn't supposed to). It was adorable!

Sunday we drove out to Ventura to go to Rachel Sue's birthday party. I can't beleive she's a year already! Wow! We had a great time at the park. It was a beautiful, warm and sunny weekend. I'll post pix of the birthday party later. Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to the McLaughlins! Thanks for having us at the party.

02/05-08: We went to go see the Hannah Montana 3D movie on Sunday. Christian's parents bought us the tickets and offered to watch Landon and Ava for the afternoon so that Maddy and Emma could have us all to themselves. The movie was AWESOME. I knew the girls would like it...but Chrisian and I really enjoyed it too. 3D is so cool! It was like we were actually there at her concert! We all had a great time!

Ava is already 2 months old! I can't believe how fast time is flying with her. She is holding her head up really well and she's standing on her legs when we hold her up. She is so much fun. She coo's a lot now when you talk to her and she is super smiley. She wasn't that smiley at 1-month, but now, it's easy to get a smile out her...just talk to her and she smiles! Her eyes still are looking blue (I wonder if they'll stay?!?) She is sleeping consistently about 10PM-7AM and she's eating about every 3 hours during the day. She still hasn't had any formula-just nursing and pumped bottles. Her cold is almost gone. You can hear a bit of congestion, but it doesn't seem to bother her much. She's moving into 3-6 month clothes (a little big on her) and she's in diaper size 1, she's still a size 0 shoe. She's a doll...we love her so much! She has her well-baby check-up and imunizations on Thursday. We'll see how much she weighs and how long she is at that apt. Until next time........Lotsa Love!   ~Julie

1/31/08: After having all of you vote for which picture to use on my purse, I chose a completely different one. I really liked all those other ones that I took outside, but in my favorite one Landon wasn't looking at the camera. I ended up getting this one as a fluke when they were all on the sofa. The girls' hair is a mess and I'm not crazy about their outifts (Ava's in her jammies), but I think they all look cute! Anyway, I ordered my purse today and I can't wait for it to come in the mail!

1/28/08: The Garth Brooks concert was AWESOME!!! Garth puts on a really great show. We were at the last of 5 concerts in 2 days. Man, does he have energy! As a special treat, Tricia Yearwood sang with Garth and also sang "Walk Away Joe". It was a fabulous night! We went to dinner before the concert with my Mom and Dad and then headed over to the concert. It was pouring down rain!! It was fun to spend the evening with my parents. The concert started at 9PM and we weren't out until about midnight. Christian and I went to an old fashioned diner in Hollywood called the 101Cafe after the concert. We were seated next to Jamie Kennedy and his girlfriend. We got our picture taken with him...Christian always recognizes the movie stars!

We are all feeling a lot better. Ava's cough has gotten so much better! She's finally on the mend. Having a new baby in the middle of winter is tough. There is so much sickness all over and the cold weather is tough. I don't know how people do it in the snowy states! Thank God, she is doing better though. It was a bit scary with that hacking cough.

Landon has become quite the jabber jaws! He is rarely ever quiet. He is talking non-stop, especially in the car. Seriously, he will talk every second from the minute we get into the car until we reach our fianl destination. In the morning, that's from 8:00 - 9:00, an entire hour of non-stop chatter! He doesn't just talk to himself; he wants communication back to him...it gets tiring after awhile. But, it's fun to see him so communicative.  And I thought our girls talked a lot!?!?
