Alexis is such a pretty girl and happy birthday to her. We can definitely relate to you about Ricky. Dylan has ADHD and dyslexia. He goes to Kennedy Kreiger in Baltimore for help plus he gets plenty of help in school because the Catholic school he goes to has special help. He also is way behind and has been tested for alot of stuff. It's so upsetting to see what that they have to deal with. My prayers are with you. Don't forget you are a great Mother! Many times I went about my day with the hopes that I could be as good of a Mother as you are. You have FIVE beautiful children and I only have 2. I have not done 1/2 the things you do. We can only try our best and keep the faith that God is guiding us in our way and that things will get better. Surround your self with positive people or stay away from all those people that make you feel like you are not enough or have not done enough. If you ask me, you are one of the best mothers I have ever known. Lexi is proof of such great Mammy!
Just look at me, my home ruined by a huracane, I'm now living in my in-laws and it seems like things have not moved or are moving at all. It will be 1 year this July, and like you did at one time or another, I have no help with the kids at all. All I have is hope, my dear friend. Just think of what makes me keep going every day: "things don't stay the same for ever". Hope for a Better Tomorrow is the best pill there is out there.

It's great to read your update. My goodness..Alexis a young woman! I can totally see what you mean about them growing up too fast, it seems like yesterday that Madeline was born and now she's turning 8! I can only imagine how quickly the time will fly and we'll be empty nesters. Everybody said it, "Oh, it seems like just yesterday...", but now it's us! I don't want my babies to grow up!
Tylie must be waling all over the place now! I know you said about ta month ago she started, she must be getting pretty good at it now! ava has taken 2 steps, but that's it. She has no interest in walking!

Jamie, I know how hard it is to be alone and awash in emotional turmoil. There is nothing in life that prepares you for being separated from your Life Partner. Even if you have dealt with separation in the past each and every separation has its own trials and tribulations that you did not have to deal with the previous time. Being apart you miss the little things and big things. The little things are when separated BIG things. Watching a sunset with your partner, watching your children experience new and fantastic things, the touch of hands when you need the reassurance that you are not alone, and the look in the others eyes when there is nothing but love and warmth looking at you. There is so many things that we find missing in our lives when not with the person or people you have chosen to make your family. For those who have never have to dealt with these situations they will never understand just how difficult what it means to be apart. If there was a magic wand or some miraculous invention to prevent or ease the pain and suffering that is incurred while apart. I would spend any amount of money to purchase it for us. There is one thing I know for sure and that being apart will not always be. I look forward to each and every moment that I spend with you Jamie. You are the driving force that keeps me going. Without you I would not be a complete person. Thank you for being apart of my life and partner in all things good and bad we have experienced and will experience in the future.
