Hi Jamie! I'm so sorry about you not getting to see your Honey. I really feel for you about the whole separation thing. I am a huge wimp when it comes to that & I honestly hope I never have to endure it again! I can handle a week or two, but beyond that, I want to be able to go wherever he goes! Military wives feel that way especially, since we have moved all over the United States with our men, away from close friends & family on many occasions. It's hard to face it that we can't follow them everywhere they are called to go. It's so painful though because you are one flesh & it feels as though you are torn apart. His home coming is going to be so wonderful though & you will feel so much gratitude & peace in his arms again!!!! I just want you to know that I can totally understand. Your children are so beautiful & growing up so fast! I'm going to try to stop by more often, as it's been awhile, and make sure you are doing okay!! It's been forever since I stopped by. Time flies by too quickly these days it seems.
First off -- you totally made the right decision with holding Ricky back for the 2nd grade. I was a military brat and we did a bunch of moving around. When I got to 2nd grade and my brother in 5th grade, we had just moved too much. So they wanted to hold us both back. The school decided that "socially" it would be bad to hold me back. So they held my brother back and kept me on track. Needless to say, I struggled so bad to keep up and had B and C average. My brother excelled and basically had a year of college done by the time he graduated high school as Valedictorian. I still did well for myself and even finished my Master's before him (hehehe)...but I struggled bad. So, if I were in your shoes, I would have done the same exact thing!!!
I know your miss the hubby. My heart goes out to you. I will pray that the time will be bumped up and you will be together before too much longer. Hang in there...

Your his mom and you know what he needs best. It took a lot of courage to make such a decision and let me tell ya, it was the right one. Lil Ricky will thank you for it later.
