We have a big weekend planned and Catie is beyond excited. Saturday we're going to Catie's friend Avery's 2nd Birthday party. I used to teach with her mom and we live in the same neighborhood. After the party we are going to Snow Day on Hilton Head Island!! Since it will *probably* never snow here, the rec. center brings in ice trucks and they blow it into snow for the kids to enjoy. Last year our camera took a beaten and was ruined from all the wet snow so this year we have a water & shock proof camera to capture all the fun. Sunday is Family Free Day at the Charleston Aquarium so that should be a full day and a nice drive for Owen to get used to traveling.

Catie is already a seasoned globetrotter, but she is very excited to try out her new car seat since she outgrew her convertible car seat. She was so excited we had to test it out in the livingroom, of course she will be buckled properly in the car! We decided against using a booster for many reasons, mainly safety, and chose a Britax Regent 5-Point Harness seat for children up to 53 inches and 80 pounds. This is the last car seat she will need so of course she chose pink! We are grateful to the Miller family who shared their tragic story in hopes to keep other children safe. We had a busy, but fun weekend! Saturday we took our first family trek since Owen was born and it actually went better then planned. It took us about 2.5 hrs. to get to the Columbia Zoo and this includes a gas & drive-through food stop so not too shabby. The kids did great in the car, but the day threw Owen's schedule off and we paid for it that night & the next day. Catie loved all the animals and was excited to bring home a little giraffe of her own. It was the first activity that we had to pay for her now that she is three, funny how that is the magic number. Our next trip is to the Charleston Aquarium on Jan. 27th as it is family free day, yes FREE, how fabulous!! The aquarium offers this just once a year so I am sure it will be packed, but a great deal for our tight financial budget, bring on the crowds!!

We may need a new computer...sigh. Let's just leave it at that *someone* thought they needed to clean the laptop with 1/2 a bottle of febreeze and now the screen is ruined. ok that was my vent.

Dr. appts. went great! Catie had her 3yr, weighed in at 36 3/4 lbs. and 39 3/4 in. Owen weighed in at 11lbs. 7 1/4 oz. and 23 in. Yay!! We had lunch and all went to the park afterwards, a great day!
