Ok time to play "catch up" since we have been so busy and the website suffers. We have been enjoying the usual shop, swim, park, sandbox museum, play with Tony days packed with cleaning & house organizing in between. Our big yard sale is this weekend and I have just about finished up all ebay sales for awhile. Time to get the stairway painted and carpets cleaned thanks to both our parents and of course just in time for this baby boy to make he debut. I am 29 weeks today, where does time go? Catie has been barely taking naps these days so I am running on a new schedule, we are slowly adjusting, but I find that big projects like cleaning out eaves and the walk-in closet proves harder. We have a busy weekend ahead with the yardsale, I have two birthday parties to work, and Chris' family arriving all on the same day. I expect to be near coma state by dinner time. Catie has been testing us lately, but consistencey and discipline seem to win out. Thank goodness for Chris & I being on the same page all the time, otherwise we would be defeated by an almost 3 year old. She is becoming such a little girl, her own person, one to be proud of as she seems to have empathy and understanding of expectations. Ok, now for the best part, pictures!!
Just a quick update! Catie is loving playing in the new organized sunroom! We have a few more ideas for the house to be clutter-free and are excited to get the playroom done upstairs. We painted the nursery and have all the furniture in place, need to do a few touch ups on trim and add some more decor to the room. I will take some pics when finished. I also started thinking of some new things for Catie's room and of course the rest of the house. Guess we're kinda going room by room and doing an organization & decorating overhaul. I have to get some pics uploaded and promise to make it a priority after this weekend. We have friends coming to visit and a lot going on with working on house stuff, trying to get everything organized for our big yard sale, plus my ebay and enjoying Catie!
Baby update: Failed my 1hr glucose on Monday, passed my 3hr. on Tuesday. Next appt. is Oct. 4th and 3rd trimester just started at week 27!! Wow, this is going so much faster the 2nd time around!
Oh have we been busy! I have been selling all of Catie's outgrown girl stuff on Ebay and that is enough work to count as a part time job. I have also started doing birthday parties on some weekends with a friend who owns The Bear Mill. It's great fun and some moola in my pocket for little splurges. Catie has turned into a little girl all of a sudden. She is talking complete sentences with voice, tone and inflection, it's so cute. Of course she has a gazillion questions also, but that make us happy she is curious about life. She had her first overnight sleepover with Mom Mom & Pop Pop, they had a blast as did Chris & I who got to spend some fun time just together! We are going to try to do that once a month. At last measurement by us, Catie was 37in and 31lbs, growing like a weed! I took her to try on some pants for fall and she will definately be a 3T, thank goodness for adjustable pants though! She was great on length and I pulled it to the tightest button for her waist. So I have begun doing some shopping for her and our lil' boy on the way. Ebay has been great to just use the money we make off what we sell. I bought the crib bedding for his nursery, helicopters of course. It's really neat to buy some blue since we have been such a pink house, lol! Ok well my next appt. is Aug. 30th, so more updates then. oh and check out Catie's poopy on the potty, lol!
