Gosh it has been quite chilly lately so we've spent a lot more time indoors than one can actually handle, lol. So to fight the winter blues we've been going to the play area at the mall, having lunch out and we went to the sand box museum again. Cate LOVES that place, the membership seems worthwhile so far, I may even check out the Y and see what they offer! Our biggest news is that on Friday we go to sign Catie up for preschool, it's just registration for next year, but it will be neat to see what she thinks of our visit. So starting in Sept. she will go tues/thurs from 9-12, it will be so good for her, but I still get teary-eyed thinking about it. Oh well, she will almost be three when the time comes and as a teacher I know it is the right thing to do and as a mommy I can't be selfish. We had a snow day on HHI!! Ok, they
made the snow since it was almost 70 degrees. Catie wasn't sure what to make of the snow, but she did have fun. The festival had a ton of inflatable rides and carnival games. We even got her to go inside a bounce house, she did freaked out once inside however. This gave her the courage to go through a bounce train maze, just one time though, lol. She loved the fishing game and won a flower that she carried around the rest of the day, such a goofball. Catie is growing like crazy and I am sure she is 36in. by now and she just turned 25 months. She is thinning out again and still wears 18-24months, but I've been getting her 2T for spring/summer for her height. Catie is talking up a storm, testing her independence and loving her toddler bed. She is becoming a little girl so fast! Well, I uploaded some pics and video, enjoy!
Gosh we've been so busy lately, we have a lot of updates! Catie has learned to open the fridge and LOVES exploring inside, especially playing with the light. She has also mastered climbing out of her crib so today we put together her toddler bed and she is taking a nap right now. It has been a pretty good transition so far, hopefully night time will be just as easy. Our little chatter box is talking in sentences most of the time, about 3-6 words and using pronouns (me, you, I, and she). Her new favorite thing is calling people honey, since she hears Chris & I call each other that all the time. I uploaded a bunch of new pics!
