Whew! What a whirlwind the past few weeks! Cate is now 10 months and ETA: at her sickness Dr. appt she was 20lbs. 8oz.. We've had more than a house full between carpet installation, sunroom construction, irrigation revamping, we also had Granma Trotter, Auntie Dunn, and Uncle Jim come visit. Aunt Cathy & Uncle Chet also stopped in for an evening and Catie is in LOVE with her new bear they brought her! I of course got very ill due to all the new germs (and 2nd graders I'm sure) and now Cate and Chris seem to have caught the nasty bug. Catie goes to the Dr. tomorrow, hopefully some meds will heal her and we pray it's nothing serious. Poor baby is so congested in her chest...sigh. However we did manage to have some fun at a halloween party that friends threw for all the little ones. Cate was so cute and had a blast at her first party! Oh her First Halloween, I can't believe she's 10 Months old already!!
Cate is 9.5 Months and on the move! She cruises furniture like an 'ol pro and can stand on her own for a split second. She refuses to be put into sitting position and plants her feet firmly when you put her down. IF you can put her down that is, she wants us to be with her 24/7 and can't miss anything or it's girl drama at her best! She melts our hearts by saying Dada & Mama quite clear and with pretty good meaning we believe. Of course she has her squeals, screeches, and other sounds belting out louder each day. She's eating at the table with us and gobbles down pretty much anything we're eating. She's added spaghetti, ham, mac & cheese, meatloaf, burgers, chicken, brocolli, and rice to her menu. Oh and she even tried gumbo, but wasn't too fond of all the flavors...lol! Check out her latest pics!
Cate is 9 Months exactly today and she had her check-up with Dr. Ellenberger. She weighs 19lbs. 14 oz. and 28 1/4 in. long, way to grow little girl! It was just a general well-baby appt. and she got 1/2 dose of the flu vaccine with the other dose coming in 4 weeks. Cate did great, just a few tears and a screech for a minute and then all smiles. Everyone keeps saying that she is the happiest baby they've ever met, I'm starting to believe it now! She is talking up a storm and especially likes to say Dada. Cate understands "NO" and pouts out her lip and follows with a screech, it's almost too cute. She's cruising the furniture, pulling up and standing, playing while standing and crawling pretty quick. She'll do a few steps behind her walking toy, but not on her own yet. Her favorite activities are getting into Wilson's water dish and taking Zoey's & Cooper's bones.
