Cate was 7 months old on July 28th and she has learned a lot this month! She has figured out how to get to sitting position all by herself, thus we had to lower her crib. She's also perfected her army crawl, but still just rocking on all fours. Cate plays a lot on her knees and tries to get her feet flat on the ground to stand. She has two teeth now so she is loving table food, especially fruit, she loves watermelon and pears the best! Our family schedule is about to change soon, since I return back to school this Friday. Cate will start going to the sitter, Shelia, four days a week. Chris is changing his day off to Wednesdays and Cate will go to the sitter Mon., Tues., Thurs. & Fri. from 8am till 4pm. She will have another Teacher's child to play with and we all absolutely love Sheila. So it's not too bad, but gosh, I'll sure miss her...sigh. Alrighty, I'll post some new pics when I get a chance...<
This week has been full of projects and family time. I finally got around to working on the upstairs bathroom, which I guess is really for Cate. We seem to never use it so I decided to decorate it just for her. I painted the walls yellow to match the rest of our bathrooms and I added some tiny blue block border. I am going with a yellow & blue theme to tie into Catie's Turtle Tub. It's the love of her life! She's quite amused by turtles of all sort from the real to the make-believe...lol. Anyways I have some small details to add and then it will finally be complete! We had a great day today, sleeping in til 8:30 and having a late lunch at Squat & Gobble. Then we did a quick stop home for a diaper change and dog walk before we headed out to the Beaufort Water Festival. We got to the festival just in time to see some of the waterski show, took a walk through the arts & craft vendors, grabbed a treat from another and we were ready to get out of the heat! Be sure to see a few shots of Cate's bathroom in progress and a few poses from the festival.
We had Catie's 6 Month check-up today. She got three shots and handled them much better this time and after a dropper of Tylenol she's sleeping peacfully right now. The Dr. gave us Flouride drops to put in her formula each day and said now is the time to transition to a sippy cup. Wow, she's becoming such a big girl! She weighed 17lbs. 6oz. and was 26 3/4in. long, and her head measured 17cm, so she's growing quite well. We were able to stop for a nice lunch at Pizza Hut and Cate ate some applesauce, crackers, wafers, and even a few pieces of pizza dough...lol We are now able to give her more choices and talked about making her own food instead of jarred babyfood, so that should be fun, the Chef in Chris is quite excited about this idea! We had a nice morning signing off on the paperwork with the Lawyer for the Sunroom we're building. It should be completed by the end of September and ready to enjoy just in time for Fall. We're so excited to get some more living space as our family grows.
