Happy June! We have been enjoying the beautiful weather even though it's hot & humid. We make sure to hit the pool before lunch everyday. Owen loves being in the water to splash and Catie loves her tube. Catie has finally started jumping in the low end, she's our cautious one while Owen throws his whole face into the water. Silly boy! We have a busy month with Father's Day, Chris' 34th Birthday and our trip to Pittsburgh at the end of the month. We will be having a get together at Chris' Mom's house on Sunday, June 29th so stop by, say hi & come see our cute kids! I'll be sending out evites soon, but please pass the word along so we get to see as many folks as possible since we only make it up north every few years. ok, here's some new pics!!
Sorry folks we're having some serious computer issues, but now for the real update! May is looking much better than April which it great news all by itself. We finally got a new kitchen table after a long 6 months of eating in the livingroom. I love our table and it has made dinner a great family time. We also ordered a new oven after a month of getting sick of food off the grill. Funny how much a broken oven can ruin dinner, but in less than 14 days our new oven will be here! First dinner will be meatloaf & roasted potatoes, mmmm. Next on the list is a new computer, this one is barely working and unfortunately Best Buy says it's beyond repair. In the meantime we also had to replace our mower, since repair would cost almost as much as new one. So I guess my Chevy Cavalier being totaled allowed us to fix and replace other much needed items, funny how life works, just a revolving door.
Kids are doing great! Catie has really been into dinosaurs, building castles, and putting together floor puzzles lately. She has such an imagination and easily occupies herself. We took her out for a special night to see Elmo with just Mommy & Daddy. She was very concerned if we would get Owen back from our friend Katrina. After much reassuring her that we would pick Owen up later she was able to enjoy the night. Although she has a love/hate for characters and hides when they get close, lol!
Owen is the happiest baby and he is either laughing, smiling or drooling.I think he is working on tooth number 3 already. He also loves to screech like a dino or roar like a lion cub or at least that's what we all agree he sounds like. Oh but the sweetest thing is how he reaches out for me to pick him up now, just too cute!
The warm weather has arrived so we've been enjoying dancing at Sea Turtle, the beach, playing in the backyard and hoping our pool opens soon. I had a wonderful Mother's Day and was spoiled by getting a new kitchen table and a fabulous meal at Lady & Sons. Owen is now 6 months weighing in at 18lbs.6oz, 26 3/4in. tall and a 17cm head. Catie is loving the weather and always outside. Here's some pics and video...
