Our 38 Week Dr. appt. went great! I'm 70% effaced and ready to go in Monday at 11pm. The Dr. said the induction should go smooth since I've progressed so far already. We will enter the Emergency area, fill out the paperwork and then be wheeled over to the Birthing Center to Labor & Delivery. The nurses will hook me up to all the monitors and give me a pill to soften my cervix, which is already pretty soft so the Dr. said labor may begin. Then around 7am the next morning the nurses will start Pitocin, the medicine that kick starts contractions, and the fun will begin! Dr. Norton figure Cate will make her appearance by dinner time (between 5-7pm) if all goes as expected. Whew! We're so excited, scared, thrilled, and nervous...please say a pray that our Cate will be healthy as we expect and that all goes well with the laboring process. Oh and that Chris doesn't pass out, he's not a fluid guy...lol!
Cate arrived on Tuesday, December 28th at 9:12pm. She weighed 7lbs. 3 ozs. and was 20.5 inches long. She has dark blue eyes, light wavy hair, and eyebrows and lashes so blonde you can't see them. She looks just like her Daddy and has been easy going like him too!
