We were shocked to find out we would be expecting twins 22 mos after our first son was born. But when we found out we would be having our 2nd set of twins 22 mos after the 1st set... we were FLOORED! Despite a family history of "multiple multiples" we really didn't expect it to happen to us. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful large family. Now that our family is complete we can look back and honestly say, we wouldn't want it any other way! People always want to know... "H ow in the world did you manage to have two sets of twins?" My paternal Grandmother was a twin herself. She then had two sets of twins. My cousin also had two sets of twins.
