I read your blog quite often -- and enjoy it completely! I just wanted to give you a different perspective on your "IVF Question" issue. I DID have one of my babies via IVF -- God's blessing! It NEVER bothers me when people ask me about it and I find it a blessing to be able to tell them about it. I don't think people are being rude; I just think they're naturally inquisitive. Plus, there are MANY people now who don't get pregnant "the old-fashioned way" and are looking for answers. Maybe some of them that ask you are hoping you had a success story to tell them. Sometimes, it's just the way you look at things... Again, I hope you don't take offense at this, but I wanted to let you know that not everyone who asks intends to be rude.

I loved looking at all the kids. I am sorry I forgot about the twins 1st birthday being last month. We need to come visit you guys. Let me know when might be a good time. All of your kids are adorable. They are growing so fast. My karter is 6 months already. Time is flying by. I miss you guys. Looks like y'all are doing good. Call me sometime when you have a minute(which can't be too often-haha) Love ya!

Can I *ever* relate!!!! I was telling Brad the exact same thing tonight! Some days are easier than others, but here lately I haven't had an easy one at all!
-Melanie     Oct 21 2008

Happy Belated Birthday to Brady and Cooper! I love seeing your pictures along with the other kids. I love you.
-Donna Frye     Oct 06 2008

Hey girl,I think of you all the time. Everytime someone makes that favorite, "You have your hands full..." I try my best to put on the same pasted on smile and say, "heh heh, yeah." I NEVER say that to anyone now, I don't care if I met the Gosselins! Why is it that people feel the need to tell me about their second cousins, girlfriends sisters, whomever is having twins. And the STARING, my word, the STARING! You'd have thought I gave birth to kittens. Anyway, I miss you...
-Jenn Ferryman     Oct 03 2008

Happy Birthday to Brady and Cooper! You guys are getting so big. Wished I could have been there. Looks like a ton of fun from the photos. :)
-Heidi     Sep 30 2008

Dacia,

If it makes you feel any better, it doesn't matter if you have five kids or two kids, you make these goofs constantly as a Mom. The way I justify it is, I am thinking for everyone, not just me! Not that Todd's days are easy, but he leaves each morning just thinking about Chick-fil-A. I on the other hand have, Tek,Briggs, house, bills, groceries, appointments, school work, etc, etc, etc! You are only human. Call it survival mode! Just remember to pause and count your blessings too, and remember to laugh, laugh, laugh!
-Traci Kalish     Sep 28 2008

Hooray for girls night!! We'll miss you both tonight!
-Heidi     Sep 18 2008

Have fun with Lisa! I'm glad you get a true GNO... I've sort of failed at that job. Poor Lisa had to drive from Indy to pick up my slack! I'll get there soon, I promise. Hope your visit together is awesome!
-Susan     Sep 17 2008

When you get ready for a girls night or even just to get together with the kids, let me know! I get off at 2:00 on Thursday's and I am off every Friday:)It will take time. Each move no matter how far, takes time. It is still taking time with us and we only moved 20 miles away:) Talk to you soon! Christina
-Christina Baker     Sep 12 2008

Hey girl, just checking in...love the pics from the Braves game. :-)

I think Pre-K is a great plan. I would say Jackson needs it for the social aspects and to be around other kids, but you have that covered at home! :-) I know he will do well, with his amazing thoughts and wit. Don't worry. :-)
-Karen     Sep 11 2008

Hi Friend! Just want you to know you are not alone. I felt the same way when I had to send Garrison off on the bus or just drop him off to a bunch of strangers! I did feel so much more at ease when he was at church and you knew everyone and could go in any time. It made the K year seem to flash by before my eyes. It has started to get easier now for 1st grade as far as feeling involved. I think part of that is the homework that has started. Spelling lists!!??!!Math?!?!? Ready or not, here comes homework!! I know a lot of things he has learned in preschool are helping him now with reading etc. You are a WONDERFUL mother and I know guidance from God and prayers will see you through! Side note--I always think of Diane Archer saying she hopes Jesus comes back soon before the teenage years!!! AMEN!
Love and miss you all MUCH!
-Christina B     Sep 09 2008

If I don't get my hands on those babies soon...I am dreamimg of them! All of us are!
-dixie     Sep 09 2008

you know i always dispense advice when asked. so i'll tell you-- if i didn't have to work, i'd hold the kids out of daycare till kindergarten. i think it's kind of imperative that parents take every teachable moment they can get in the beginning, so that hopefully they can make some smarter choices when they start school. that said, you need your break too-- which for me is the main objective of pre-k. your kid, like all others like him, will adjust to kindergarten just fine and he's probably already as smart as the rest of them!-- so if you are having doubts, i think god put them there for a reason.

gee, maybe i should email you next time instead of spouting off to your masses of readers! call me. we can talk and i promise i'll listen!
-melinda     Sep 08 2008

Dacia,we need some new pictures.I miss you, I'm coming to see you when your Mom gets back. I love you.
-Aunt Cathy     Sep 06 2008

Dacia,
Never doubt the moment in your life God has placed you in. It is all a learning experience he wishes you will endure and grow from. There will be many more moments like the one you are dealing with now, that will mold your children into Godly adults. I know I have a long way to go still, but Tek just celebrated his 11th birthday last night with 8 BOYS spending the night at our house. I have never been so proud of the sight I was able to take in. I couldn't have chosen 8 better boys to have over. He has made great choices of the people he enjoys spending time with. If we guide them through the ups and downs, they come out making great decisions. It will happen! I miss you...Hang in there!
-Traci Kalish     Sep 06 2008

Hi Dacia! You look so happy being back so close to your family. It's a MUST with Multiple multiples! Maybe I'll see you on the Multiple Multiples board sometime.

-Dixie     Aug 31 2008

Hi Dacia. Don't know if you really remember me, but I knew you the moment I saw your picture on Facebook. We went to school together. Back then I went by Francine (Frenchie, later in high school). Anyways, it looks like things are going great for you and your family (which is absolutely beautiful, by the way). It brings back such sweet memories reading your stories of your little ones. Mine is going on 11 and I miss those days!!
-Tara     Aug 30 2008

Hey girl, just checking in with ya. You have been quite busy with your new house, and CONGRATS by the way. As always you make me laugh with your stories about your little ones. :-) I can't believe Jackson is in pre-school, B starts K on Tuesday!! I remember when you were preggo and I had a tiny little baby!
-Karen     Aug 28 2008

Dacia, I laughed so hard reading about Jackson wanting to kiss a girl.Your stories always make me smile.I love you all.
-Aunt Cathy     Aug 27 2008

Get rid of that decorator!!! I had a friend that did this same thing and the lady replied. $500 an hour, so count your blessings! You can do this!!! it doesn't have to happen all at once, take your time, so that you will love it in the end! Things still look very very good that I will be able to help!!!
-Traci Kalish     Aug 21 2008

Dacia, I have laughed my head off at the post for today! You are so funny! I miss you! School's back in full-swing and life is way too busy. I hope to sit out at the outside fireplace/living area very soon and have a nice burger with the entire gang. I had a workshop yeaterday and the leader was a math guru from Wilmington with five kids. All are four and under.(One set of twins) He was a hoot telling stories like yours. I have his email. I told him his wife needed to hash it all out with you. He said, "There would be no time." :)
-dixie     Aug 19 2008

I am already decorated that beautiful home in my mind. I know you will have fun! Keep your fingers crossed and maybe I just might live close enough soon to really help!
-Traci Kalish     Aug 17 2008

We are so excited for you guys!!! Tell Jackson that Josiah says "hi" and we miss you all!!
