Girl you are funny, even when you are stressed. I can't wait until you move closer to NC, so I can come meet all of those little (and big) babies!

Susan rocks for doing that for you, how exciting!!
-Karen     Mar 12 2008

I know, I have identical twin girls and we are constantly getting stopped and asked if we knew we were having them, do they run in your family, are they identical, are they twins? I really don't mind because they are amazing little miracles to me too :-) It would be nice to go on a "quick" trip to the store though. Ha!
-Joy     Mar 11 2008

Dacia,

I am seriously considering creating business cards. Or t-shirts with all information including a nodding head that pretends to be interested in someones story about thier cousins best friends x-wife's brother's twins. That or I am now taking up french....
-Jenn (twinship buddy)     Mar 10 2008

Hey---you aren't the only one who goes to the grocery stinkin! I do too!!! :)
-Melanie Smith     Mar 07 2008

wow, i didn't think anyone hated art more than me. we have sidewalk chalk, coloring books, and perhaps a few (washable) markers for coloring books. no paint, finger or otherwise, darkens these doors. i detest playdough and my children have to play with it outside. i refuse to scrape up dried up bits of blue clay with my fingernails. crafts-- that's what kindergarten is for. there i go again playing the kindergarten card. that sounds like a post i really need to create!!!!!!

Dacia,
Just to let you know, I'm probably 16,000 of those 18,000 hits. Yes I admit it, I click on my friends' blogs multiple times per day. Just waiting for an update! I need to know of the mundane details of how your life is going. Yes, I have a problem...I'm getting therapy...from Lisa H.!!! :)
-Heidi     Mar 06 2008

Dacia,

We just got home from our annual Chick-fil-A trip and a few extra days at Disney World. My Mom flew the boys to us at the end of our conference. We had a blast, the boys first time to Disney World! All I could think about was the day you and Brad would be doing it with all five! Definitely take a few babysitters with you! I had to tell you, I LOVE THE HAIR!!!! You look Super! Miss seeing you!

Hi Dacia/Brad, I haven't read your website with cathy until tonight. I am awe struck with the love and apparent humor you have in what must be the most arduous situation one can imagine and yet one of the most beautiful times in a human life that one will ever have.

Thank you for bringing joy to Cathy, she reads this religously and always talks about the children, you and Brad.

I know you have seen the light in her eyes as I have when she talks of you and your children.

God Bless You

Troy

-Troy Stanley     Feb 03 2008

Dacia,

When I see you, you always seem so put together it blows my mind. I hope you and I...scratch that, I know we will get together more and we can talk about the breakdown moments when my girls come. I really do think that you are amazing in what you deal with day to day. I also know that you attribute it all to the Lord, which is such a testament. I am saving your site under my fav's so I can know when you have those moments, reminding me to encourage when and if I can and giving me encouragement in return, knowing that I can do it in those breakdown moments....Love ya girl
-Jenn Ferryman     Feb 02 2008

Oh Dacia...I miss you and I feel like crying with you! and laughing with you... What a trooper you are! You are blessed and everyone knows just how blessed! I know those days you speak of though...but God is real and so very faithful. Don't ever and I mean never try to be strong in yourself. But, one man (woman) plus God is mightier than any army and stronger than any opposition. If God is calling you to do a BIG job, you can bet He will send the power of the Holy Spirit. [Judges 6: 34] I have to do a devotion at Upward tomorrow and this is what I have prepared. Thank God for His Spirit that gives us courage and strength---especially when we feel weary. Oh...I could just die to see you and all of your babies.(and Brad!) I do miss you all! If I could touch them, I'd squeeze some little cheekies!!!! I think you and I have this phone tag thing down pat! :)
-Dixie     Feb 01 2008

i love you and miss you!

Hang in there, this is one of many parenting opportunities, and that is exactly what it is, an opportunity, to take a situation and make a learning experience out of it, this is how we grow Godly young Men and Women. Jackson will be fine because he has shining examples! The thing that always amazes me about my boys, is how they can be so hateful to each other at times, but if anyone is hateful to one of them, the other is ready to attack! This shows that above all they love each other dearly! You are a great Mom! I would love to get my baby fix while you get the crown done!
-Traci Kalish     Jan 26 2008

Oh no, I am sure it broke your heart that you punished Connor, poor little guy, but more so, POOR MOMMY! He has probably already forgotten about it though.

I am sure Jackson is just testing the waters to see what will happen, and I think you did the right thing.

Don't fret, he's just a normal little boy. :-)
-Karen     Jan 25 2008

I'm sorry about Jackson lying to you!!! I know how upsetting that is!

It's been a couple of years now, but Gabe knew that if they got out of bed they were going to get a spanking. We had already warned him and Justin not to get up. At the time Justin was a little over 2. Brad and I heard Justin up. Brad was scolding Justin and had taken him into our room to spank him. I told him to wait a minute and Brad didn't. I talked it over with Gabe and he admitted that he told Justin to get up because he knew he would get in trouble. I was floored! By that time, Brad had already spanked Justin. When I told him what happened he was so upset. He held Justin and told him over and over again how sorry he was. I don't think Gabe put 2 and 2 together and realized that he was in trouble. Brad went into their room and called Gabe out. Gabe being true to form comes out with this great big smile on his face. Then he got his spanking.

I will be praying for y'all. It's not easy. Be thankful; even though Connor did get in trouble, Jackson came clean and told the truth. He has a conscious.

-Heidi     Jan 08 2008

Dacia - I work with Karen Layser and I must you say - you are AMAZING! I have one set of twins (girls - 6 1/2 years old) and a son who is 4 - and I can't even imagine adding another set of twins to the mix. I lose my mind daily and reading your stories makes me realize it could be even crazier! I'm watching Jon & Kate plus 8 right now - not sure if you've ever seen that - well it's humbling to watch their story too! Your family is beautiful and I just had to say - you truly define superwoman!!!
-Lisa S     Jan 08 2008

Girl, all I can is you amaze me. I have breakdowns with two kids, you are just super woman with 5. So you can have a cliff talk down anytime you need it!!
-Karen     Jan 08 2008
