Samantha Hannah (Updated 1/14) Born March 23rd, 2007 8 lbs. 11 oz. 21 1/2 inches long My goodness, can you believe how much time has gone by? Sami will be two years old in only 2 1/2 short months. She definitely has a personality of her own and is very head strong. But yet so far we haven't had too many problems or conflicts with the terrible twosomes... I'm assuming that time will come right around the arrival of the new baby just to make things interesting. Sami talks constantly and loves to take care of her teddies and her babies. Her favorite activities are dancing, talking, and laughing as much as possible... we have a lot of fun just watching her and am so proud of the little girl she is becoming. We are doing what we can to prepare her for the new addition to our family, but we really don't think she quite understands any of it... maybe as I get biggger and she gets a little older it will click more. Josephine Alice (Updated 6/9) Born May 29th, 2009 9 lbs. 13 oz. 21 1/2 inches long
She's here and she's perfect. Labor was surprisingly easy... I would even do it again if it could be the exact same. I pushed 3 times and she was out and that's the way it should be. Josie was welcomed into the world on May 29th at 4:31pm weighing 9 lbs 13 oz and is 21 1/2 inches tall. She is doing great and is eating like a champ even going up to 5 hour stretches at night when I give her a Nuk. It's amazing how much more I do with her that I would never have done with Sami... I am definitely more comfortable this time around and am just trying to enjoy it as much as I can. Jason and Heather (Updated 1/19)
With baby#2 coming mid-year, 2009 is sure to be an exciting and challenging year for Jason and I. Sami is growing into such an amazing little girl and is sure to be quite the little helper... when she's not being jealous that is. We're doing our best to prepare her for a new baby, but I don't think anything can really prepare her for the day the new baby comes into our lives... but that's probably true for all of us. Jason and I have been together for 11 years now and continue to grow and learn in our roles as parents and spouses. Jason is still working at the Ford plant in St. Paul and were excited to hear last year that they will remain open until 2011, although with the economy the way it is, there will be some periodic layoffs throughout the year... maybe not such a bad thing with a new little one so he can have some one on one time with the new baby and Sami. He's also still employeed at Target and picking up a shift here and there for some extra cash. As for me, I've been at T-Mobile for almost 9-years now and am still enjoying it for the most part, I wish it were a little busier right now, but what can ya do. I love the flexibility I have if something comes up with Sami and I have made so many great friendships along the way that I can't imagine working anywhere else. With baby #2 coming, I will have a couple months off this summer which will be nice to spend with the kids... oh geez, I'm going to have KIDS by the end of the summer... scary and exciting all at once. As for anything exciting other then the new baby this year... we have 5 weddings so far from May 30 - Sept 19, and I'm sure there will be more that we find out about. I'll be missing Jason's brother James' wedding since it's June 6th in North Dakota, but Jason is planning on taking Sami with him, so let's hope the baby comes before they leave since it's at least a 6 hour drive back home if I go into labor. Jason's sister DeeAnn is also expecting her second child in April so Christmas in Lakota in 2009 is sure to be exciting with two new grandchildren. Sami's turning two this year, so we're just trying not to think about terrible twos and hoping she's unaffected by the new age. Other then that, it'll just be enjoying our new family and getting used to a new routine with two kids. Here's wishing you and your family a safe and exciting new year!
