Guestbook OWEN THANK YOU AND MOMMY!On October 10 we went to Debbie's pumpkin patch, I love being able to watch you and see what you are goen to do with new thing! MISSED MACEY & AUNT WENDY being with us but hope it gets nice enought that we can take them back. October 12 we had snow and it has not real been nice enought to go back. I love the pictures of you at the Mosquito Lake boat docks it looks like you are on vaction not get in our back yard! Hope you are feeling better nose has stop running. The day your mommy and daddy told has they were having a baby we were so happy but the day you (Owen) was born we were happier then any one could be and each day has been special to us thank you for letting us be apart of you life love you more then words can say Na Na & Pa Pa P. -Na Na P. Wow one more week and you are going to be a year old. That is so hard to believe, it seems like only yesterday it was the day your mother told us she was expecting. Do what your heart tells ya.. and if that is holding him until he falls asleep than so be it. I am glad I did because Morgane grew up so fast. I can remember packing up the baby stuff and crying. Heck, I still cry at things like that. Just ask Jimmy about it..he thinks I am crazy.. Sometimes this mommy stuff is hard but the best part of it is seeing your child grow in so many beautiful ways... Sorry for being so sappy but it is a very emotional thing.. but wonderful at the same time.. !! -Ang wow what a great update pictures and a story-- yes you are a mother now and tears will come more and more as you move from one stage to another. Ang You don't want me to tell ya what she has to do to get me to go to sleep ! She's lucky though, our bed is metal, so even when I do chew on it, there's no teeth marks !! Ok on a semi serious note. Love ya, -Uncle Jimmy Jodie, I am the worst person to ask for advice on this subject. I used to have Morgane fall asleep in my arms and then tip toe in her room to lay her down for bed. When it didn't work I would try again. I did this until she was 2 years old. I know I know.. that's a long time. When she turned two I thought something has to change, so she got a TV in her room. I had one rule. The TV would only be on for 15 minutes. When it turned off then it was time for her to go to sleep and if she cried after the TV shut off then the next night she went to bed with no TV. To my surprise, this actually worked. A down fall to this is, that to this day she still has a TV in her room... and she is 9. That was just to get her to sleep at night... I never really had a problem getting her to sleep through the night... ever. I was pretty lucky with that. Well I hope everyone is doing well and we cant wait to see you and the family.. ! -Love Always Ang !! Owen, do you know of a wonderful dential hygienist that would be able to clean my teeth? Thanks again Love you. -Cousin Kelly, Bob and Mason Sorry it took me so long to offer you some advice....The only thing I have to say about Owen's stubborn streak about not sleeping is "He is more and more like his dad every day!" Although I never had trouble with Joe sleeping at night or wanting to get out of bed he found other ways to drive me crazy! He knew which buttons to push and still does! :) You will be grey like me before he is much older for sure! I feel your pain! But he is worth it-they both are! Being that I have no child and very little child experience I can't offer any advice on the crying thing, but i do hope it stops soon! Anyway, Owen is still such a little peanut. He's is unbelievable cute. I can't wait to see him in person again. Coming home in about a month. See you all then. xoxoxoxo. -Jaymee i agree owen does have one of the best mommies in the world and you will figure out what is best for you and him. good luck love ya -Aunt Sonya Sorry I can't offer any words of advice but I just wanted to let you know O that you have one of the best mommies in the whole world so don't be to rough on her. -Aunt Shanon Jodie -- i feel your pain. I can't get my 10 yr old to sleep through the night and stay out of my bed, so I probably am no help. but I think the idea of allowing him to fall asleep in his crib by himself and slowly over time moving out of the room is the best idea. he needs to learn how to put himself to sleep and soothe himself something that oldest one of mine never did. Is he hungry? Does he eat cereal or a bottle before he goes down for the night? not in bed . Just a routine is what the books say helps and that moving closer to the door over time thing the supernanny has recommended a number of times. good luck hope you find what works, I could never listen to them cry it out either. love ya guys -Aunt Sonya Just do me one favor, if you crawl into the crib, please, please, have Joe take a picture and send it to me! I can't believe Owen is going to be a year old soon! He is such a cutie!! I always check for updated pictures! Hope work is going well for you..we now have 3 hygienists, how do you like that one!? -Kim Jodie, I heard your plea and here are my thoughts, take 'em or leave 'em! My friend's little boy did the same exact thing and she took him to the Dr. only to find out he had a mouthful of teeth about to pop through. Also, maybe he is so used to you rocking him to sleep (not that it's bad!) that now he is naturally waking up more at night and has a very hard time getting himself to go to sleep. Maybe try to put him in his crib and just keep your hand on him for a little bit until he falls asleep and then gradually move closer to the door (this might take a few weeks) until he learns to get himself to sleep. I still have Karley's Ocean Aquarium in her crib and she also has her "baby" and "blanky" plus sometimes a book, so if she does wake up she usually turns on her music and puts herself to sleep. I hope some of this helps, I know how heartbreaking it is when your child is crying!!! -Kimberly Look like that family had a nice time at Alissa's wedding.
