Stories Nov.14 2009 Well we had more pillow talk last night. He really wants this remote control green thing that is at toys r us, so we were talking about being good and maybe Santa would bring it to him... Mom I don't know how to be good for that long.....it cost a hundred dollars so I have to be good like for a long long long time right? Yes Owen, when you are good people do nice things for you.....but mommy I really don't know how to be good I try but? I just can't..... Isn't that the truth....
We went shopping with grandma Linda and she will be leaving soon and not home for Christmas this year, so we got our Christmas present early. She bought us a new TV for our bedroom. It is very nice but now it will be harder to get Joe out of bed . My husband is still working this week....yeah
My dog is a pain in the but she is chewing up everything including one of my coach purses..GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I told her she is messing with the wrong persons stuff....I'm the only one that would return her..She was on her best behavior until we all were working and she doesn't like to be left alone. She better learn quick or my husband will be outside in the garage with her. Ha-ha Owen really likes her but she is so big and wants to be a lap dog that she stumbles all over him. Hope this is all a stage right? I don't know haven't had a big dog before, when i was little but i didn't care about that stuff....well must be going hope everyone is doing okay ......i would love to hear from all you people who care to read this other than my immediate family!
Nov. 6 2009 Just another funny story.... when Owen goes to bed he says a prayer,he has every night for quit a while. You all know about pillow talk right? He just this week started asking about dying....( if i die before I wake...I pray the lord my soul to take.) So last night he says .......Daddy will I go to heaven if I die? Joe replies yes Owen.... Will Maggie be there?...yes Owen, ....papa Glenn?...yes Owen.... will there be four wheelers there?...sure Owen.....do you think papa Glenn will ride four wheelers with me? Okay daddy good talk...goodnight! To funny his poor little mind never stops. Earlier this day I was trying to teach him his letters and I was getting very frustrated, he doesn't have three seconds to pay attention so as I am trying to keep my cool but be firm he touches my face and says mommy you very pretty.....so of course I just start laughing.. He is so smart but just won't settle down enough to learn...at least from me. His teacher told me the other day he might be a lawyer some day because he disputes everything. He told me him and his buddy chase are the coolest kids in class and his friend Aaron is the funniest...so funny that they start that so soon. Thanks for listening.....Oh yeah my husband went back to work for a couple more weeks.....Yeah at least its work for awhile hope this economy changes soon. I honestly take one day at a time our life changes daily....
Nov. 2nd Happy Halloween hope everyone had fun. Owen did okay, he would rather run the streets then ask for candy. He is a little hyper. As you see We got a new dog, she was kinda a rescue...a friend had her and couldn't keep her. She is big....I admit I was afraid of her at first but she is very sweet. As you can tell Owen loves her....She is very well behaved I was worried because she is 8/9 months old and didn't know how she would do but so far so good. She does snore tho it sounds like a grown man snoring. Owen is still ornery he keeps us busy and keeps me smiling. Thank goodness for that.
Grandma Linda painted me an awesome picture of Owen riding his four wheeler I think i will try to take a picture of a picture...she did a great job, we can't decide where to hang it...Owen wants it in his room and I want it so everyone can see it. Well he is destroying my house so i must go.
Oct 6 2009 Thank you for everyone that made it to Owens party and thanks for all the toys. If you weren't at the party, Owen was hilarious when he opened his toys, it didn't matter what it was he acted like it was the best gift in the world. He was very appreciative and made everyone laugh, he made me proud.. You would have never known he was a spoiled brat that day. I asked him if he enjoyed his birthday and he replied. Yep I got everything I wanted, and so I said does that make you a spoiled brat and he said hmmm yep. He is such a character he keeps us laughing . The other day we were in the car and he was watching a movie , Joe and I were talking so he chimes in mom can you tell daddy and your self to stop talking I can't hear my movie. The way he talks is like a older child his vocabulary is amazing. In the morning or at bed time he says don't do this to me mommy I'm still tired or I'm not tired. Please don't do this too me. He also is serious about everything. Serious mommy I mean it.
As you saw we have been busy, we went to myrtle Beach to see the Douglas family. I had a great time, missed daddy but enjoyed myself. Joe could not go because he got a new job! Hopefully this is a great one. He is a apprentice in the sheet metal union. HVAC He likes it so far but he works hard, its good for him though. He goes to school two nights a week and works all week so he is busy too. 5 years of school but hopefully well worth it. hopefully we will soon not be paying out the nose for health insurance.
We celebrated Owens birthday several times . We had a great day at Katie's place of employment they have what Owen calls a mini splash lagoon, then we had ice cream cake and fireworks on the beach! One heck a fourth birthday. Then of course we had a small party at home after we came home. We also went to wagon Trails an animal park that is really close to us. You ride a wagon and feed animals, it is wild how these animals act, they act like they are starving.They are all around you sometimes even eating your feet. I saw my first llama spit in a bulls face, it was crazy...it stop the bull in his tracks. I also learned that zebras are kind of aggressive and male zebra smell like skunks. Owen loved it all except the ostriches and was scared to death. My son who isn't afraid of much hates birds especially ostriches for some reason. I agree these ones where a little scary but very funny. Even on the beach he was afraid of the seagulls until finally we showed him to just run towards them. Aug 24 2009 Owen is offically riding by himself without training wheels, we have been practicing for a couple of days now and he is now starting with out help, I can not believe it. Zach can you believe it? he also started Preschool today instead of daycare, when he found out he was moving up this morning he said bye mom and waved, every morning usually he is hugging me,kissing me, telling me he loves me,nope not today he was a big kid. well i will update more it took me forever to figure the video. oh yeah owen can swim from diving board to the steps under and above water.........yeah no fear so I am so glad he got the treading water Aug 11, 2009 What a busy weekend, we went to truck night on Friday, for everyone not around here that is hillbillies driving thru mud pits, obstacle course, climbing walls and tug of war, oh yeah and we watched them practice for the free air show at Vienna airbase. It was really cool, you could see a lot from our house and they flew so low. On Saturday we had a few people over to watch the show and then on Sunday we went to the show itself. It was awesome better at the show then our house but it was 92 degrees 35,000 people on cement, yeah it was hot! well hope you enjoy the photos . i have to add the other day Owen woke me up and said mom how do I talk to Odd, I said do you mean God, Owen? he says yes the man who lives above the clouds with Maggie, I replied well you just talk out loud and he hears you why? I he replies, I want him to make it stop raining....how sweet and innocent. at that time I thanked god for giving me the opportunity to have a child. He can be so sweet at times but so ornery at others for example today I was doing laundry and he was playing and i hear him repeating "this sucks" and he keeps getting louder and repeating it until I finally yelled at him, then he says mom I am going to poop on it until it works.AAAAHHHH I wanted a boy! He is all boy. He still talks non stop. His grandma Linda asked him if he ever stops talking and he told her ....nope I even talk in my sleep. I wish I could remember more but this is all my great mind can remember. Hope all is well with you all. July 29 2009 Well as you see we went back to West Virgina, we had a blast. Relaxing and fun for a weekend. Our friends parents have a cabin in the mountains that we stay at very nice cabin I must add. As we were driving I said to Jim and Joe I can't believe people actually live out here, I could stay for a while but not live and they just laughed.....It is so pretty but out in the middle of no where. 1 hour atleast to a small town , some places had electricity some do not, some people use the river to pump it into thier homes as drinking water...but they sure where happier and nicer the us city folk...the appreciate life.. We rode all day on sat. we got stuck in a rain storm and got a little muddy but we survived it. Owen rode with me, he did really good but I have bruises on the inside of my legs from his boots. We rode for about 6-7 hours and that wasn't enough for him...he sounded like the honda commercial I wanta ride.....I wanta ride.....I wanta ride.... As you can tell we saw deer, they walk right up to greg and cindys porch and eat corn , so on the way home owen says why don't we get a deer instead of a dog mommy...sure why not.... On a sour note....nana laid her motorcycle down on a curve, luckly she was going slow and was wearing a helmet. She is doing good she is banged up and has road rash, but all in all could have been worse. I took pictures but she doesn't want me to show everyone. She has stitches in her mouth and chipped some teeth so she is having trouble talking so if you call and she doesn't answer that is why. She is taking pain meds so she is kinda out of it too and she just wants to sleep. Just pray for her and hope that the arthritis doesn't effect her healing time. But on a better note. Aunt Katie had her Baby...A baby boy Avery Jason..Love and miss you already can't wait to see you. My husband will her about interview in 2/3 weeks his interview was infront of a committe, a little intimidateing but he feels he did ok, I think i would of started crying, think one on one interview and walking into a confrence table with 14 guys looking at you and asking questions. He also got rid of owens mohawk, owen said he was tired of people staring at him so he started to refuse to spike it, the ulternative to mohawk in joes eyes is shaving his head....I dislike it very much but it will grow back...as joe was shaving it owen is yelling yeah make it look like yours daddie, I had to walk out of the room because I was going to cry and I didn't want owen to see me not like his haircut. well must go back to work sorry i can't proof read it because i must work enjoy....love ya all
July 23 2009 My husband has a interview today for the electrictions union, lets hope he does well...He has passed a test and now is in the next step. My friend katie is going through a rough time her puppy is really sick and she is very close to be delivering, hope all goes well. Our friend Jeremy and Stephanie had a baby girl welcome to the world. Owen is doing good, wild and mouthy but good. I tried uploading pictures but my computer keeps shutting down. I will try again later, love ya all....
July 9 2003 Well as you see we went to deer park, bradyn turned two, we went to several parades and we celebrated the fourth. Oh yeah and my husband is unemployed again or as he calls it retired. Life is busy..........enjoy the pictures........you don't want to hear me rant aboout life today I will update this part later...love ya June 20 2009 Wow its been a while huh? Lets see some of you may have heard this already...they are having dogs come into owens preschool so he has been really asking about a dog and maggie. He said to nana the other day he wanted to go to heaven and see maggie with her wings... if that doesn't tear you up or give you goosebumps nothing will....of course she replied oh owen i hope you don't go to heaven for many many years....on a happier note he woke up this morning and yells mommy i need a tissue, so i yell back get up and get yourself some toliet paper....he yells back but mom my boogers are my favorite color it looks like blood.aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh i going running in and he had a bloody nose, he could care less, he thought it was cool because it was his favorite color. we sarted swim lessons, he has had three so far, he has no fear of water and can only touch in our pool on his very very tippy toes and it still is over his mouth. He can swim underwater for about 5 feet and he is learning to swim and then flip on his back to float or swim backwards...that is the main thing I want him to learn beacuse if he can't touch he can float and yell like yeck! But now he is more confident, he thinks he can swim.. which is scary too unless we are right there. His swim teacher says he is doing great but agrees he has no fear.....she has even let him stay under longer and tries to let him panic , when he does something silly like goes after sinking rings when he shouldn't and he doesn't mind he comes up proud! she just shakes her head and says this could be bad! That is why we started classes.. I can't think of much else Joe's Job stinks, but i guess at least he is working....He works alot ...which I hate! Well my child is crawling up me and driving me crazy so i guess i must go...hope all is well Happy Fathers day to all you great daddies out there. May 26th 2009 We suprised aunt katie and drove 12 1/2 hours with two three year olds....hope we brighten your weekend. we had fun and will be back when avery arrives and everything slows down. I will add more later enjoy the photos. Oh yeah congrats to be friends Jaymee and Jordan they had a babay girl April 8th hope all is going well Amelia welcome to the world.......... May 1st Can you believe it is may already, Grandma Linda is going to be on her way back home for the summer. Yeah! If you haven't saw my moms website she has pictures of her riding her new bike, I took it for a ride, I think it is perfect for her to learn on. My husbands new job is a little different he seems to be working all the time and has no clue what time he gets off....better then not working i guess. Owen is doing great, I just found out that my son could go to school next year if we felt he was ready. Our cut off date is sept 30 th, meaning he meets it by 15 days. Hard to believe he would be four statring kindergarten. Boy does time go fast.... I posted pictures of his tree house, it just keeps getting bigger and better. Yesterday joe and Owen were working on it an owen had all the scrap pieces and made a tree fort himself and said daddy look here is my imitation....i said what is it owen? and he repeated himself so then i asked do you even know what that means? Yes, mommy he replied and he did...too smart. A few other stories..... at papa bills the other night owen was riding his dirtbike and bill has a huge field that is just straight so joe turned up the speed on owens bike...owen still didn't think it was fast enough , joe thought it was fine so he told him it was as fast as it could go, so we are riding around and owen was lagging behind....we go find him and he is trying to adjust the speed himself...little twerp. the same night we past my parents icecream store and he saw my sisters car there and wanted to stop...i told him it wasn't aunt shanons car it was the same style different persons....he says to me no sir mommy it has the same stickers as aunt shanons it was her. No tricking him anymore.... Owens new favorite song is the old rock song Black Betty...you should hear him sing it....too cute Oh black betty bam a lam....Not age appropriate... well he has had enough of me being on the computer....safe trip Grammie and Grampie love you all April 20th We survived! A very busy vacation with grandma Linda, I think she probably crashed when we left... she got a taste of what its like to have a three year old again. I really enjoyed myself, I was nervous going by myself but it wasn't that bad. We had good flight home, the flight to florida was a little rough and owens dvd player didn't work... and we went through a storm so it was bumpy...owen enjoyed it he said weeeeee. When we landed I prepared him for the noise and he got nervous but then said "mommy it sounded like daddy twisted the throttle on his harley." We had a great Easter, the Easter bunny found us in florida, he even went a little over board...so much we had to leave stuff for papa bill to bring home...Thank You Easter Bunny.. After easter we swam, swam some more, went to the zoo, went to Disney World, Magic kingdom, went to the dog park, went to get icecream, rode our bikes, went to the beach, went to play thing at mcdonalds on the rainy day. Every minute grammy had activities planned. Thank you so much we had a lot of fun and alot of memories. Owen enjoyed disney but it was very crowded and he isn't tall enough for everything. He got to drive a race car inwhich he loved, he enjoyed the shows more then the rides, he also loved the parade. He wasn't really into the characters like I thought he would, but they don't walk the streets like they use to either. it was 1 1/2 hours to see mickey mouse, he said no mommy i don't want to wait that long. we were in line to see tigger and pooh and he said i don't need to wait I can see them from here. he also wouldn't get his picture taken with goofy. I think that he is a little too young for disney and needs a little more patience, I know grammy probably won't go again for awhile. But thank you grammy for taking us to disney! We also went to the zoo and owen loved the horsey ride, water park part of it. The beach he would of stayed there all day playing in the sand, he still didn't go into the ocean completely but much farther then he did in ocean city. He loved the swimming pool too and he met a couple of girls that played with him, which gave mommy a break. Well we did so much more but i am running out of time...he went back to school today and it went much easier than I thought...he missed all his old friends, well must go Thanks for a fun vacation grammy. Oh yeah I have to tell you all about the lady that made my day... At the sanford airport we were waiting for our plane an owen and I were sitting on the floor playing and reading a book, we had an hour to waste so we payed for a while, then we got on the plane to come home. when I was getting my luggage someone tapped me on my shoulder and she said i have watched since the airport and I want to tell you ... you are an awesome mom...i said thank you and lighted up with a glow...its nice to hear that from a complete stranger. on that note good night to all
April 6 2009 Yep, we are getting snow in April...why not! Can't wait to go to florida.... As you see we colored easter eggs , we had Kylie and Zach this weekend while their parents went to Vegas. Hope they one big so we all can retire. Joe is starting a new job, unemployment wasn't working well with us. I hated it, owen learned alot while he was home with daddy but I can't believe I am saying it but i love the structure of daycare. When he turns 4 he also will start preschool. so he will soon be going back once Joe gets a paycheck. I guess maybe I was jealous in a way, joe and owen really enjoyed it. Hopefully the economy turns around so we can get good health insurance. I hate the fact that health insurance has controlled our life for the last couple years. I thought a college education and a good job would allow me to have health insurance..aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh so tired of thinking about it and talking about it. So on a lighter note..............Owen is growing so fast, he is so much like joe and I it is rediculous. I think he is 1/2 of us both, looks and attitude. He argues about everything, he always says let me tell you something......or listen I will tell you.... The other day I was yelling at him and told him he had to sit in "time out" which is a chair in the front room all by himself......he looks at me and says "Again ?" Joe and I just started laughing.... Joe sends him to his room when he is being bad and he will hang his head, pout his lip and stomp into his room crying the whole way and then joe says you can come out when your done crying...he stops on the dime....I'm done can I come out now? Too cute...Our son never went throgh the terrible twos but 3's hmmm a little tougher.....but I wouldn't change it for the world. Last night joe was watching a movie and they were talking about marriage, owen asked me mommy when I get big can I get married, so I said of course you can, then he asked can I marry you mommy? I laughed and said oh buddy you can't marry your mommy, okay he said then I will marry macey. too cute. He never misses a beat. March 15th 2009 Happy Birthday Aunt Randi, and Aunt Carol we hope you are feeling better. We had a very nice weekend we finally had some sunshine. I posted some pictures of my photo shoot with our friends little baby riley, I am thinking about maybe experimenting a little more in photography with children, maybe make some money with my hobbies. I also posted some picture of papa's new paint job, he painted my tins too but I am waiting to post them until the bike is put back together. Thanks papa I love them! March 08 2009 Happy Birthday Papa and Jaymee....We finally got pictures taken and as you see we got a couple of cute photos, i haven't had pictures taken in a while so I had a friend come to my house and we had a photo shoot. (74 pictures to be exact.) he did really good but thank goodness she has a lot of patiences. We also went rollerskating again he did better this time. Afterwards we had cake and icecream for papa's birthday. well its time for bed talk to you all soon, hope you enjoy the pictures. march 1st 2009 Thanks to grandma linda we went to see the monster trucks. Nana, Papa, Joe, owen and I all went to see monster trucks. Owen was afraid at first but then loved it. He really liked mator the little monster trucks. It was very loud...and smelled kinda bad...i think next time we will be outdoors.
Feb 19th 2009 So I have been trying to remember funny things owen has said because I know I will love to look back at this.. Owen has been staying home with Joe now for about a month and is loving it, but he now will say Boo..ya which is from joe watching mad money with jim cramer. He also told me he is going to get a tattoo when he gets big like daddy. It is going to be of his whole family...he named a bunch of us and then said its going to be my whole back...hmmmm just what a mom wants to hear. We where shopping the other day and he was throwing a fit about something and so joe and I just walked away...he yells at the top of his lungs....mommy, daddy, don't leave me I am part of the family....everyone around started laughing. He is so funny and not shy one bit...he will talk to anyone any place. Well hope all is well, its still cold here statring to get winter depression can't wait for sunshine. Talk to you all soon.
