Stories 06-12-2008 As you can see we went to the zoo....owen really enjoyed himself. We rode a camel. Owen and I both because owen couldn't ride by himself. he called all the animals by the names in madagascar...his favorite movie. he did really good he walked almost the whole zoo except a couple of stroller races. his favorite animal was Alex the lion.... potty traing is still in progress we still have accidents once in a while. he doesn't do as well when we are not at home. Atleast number two is getting a little better I am getting tired of cleaning underware. I have to say potty training his hard on me! I started to loose my cool so we stopped for a while and started again. I don't want to be potty trained I want him to tell me! We are getting closer.... Owen still doesn't have much fear...At nana's last week he jumped his fourwheeler down the stairs....my mom said Owen what hurts? He replied "my pride". where he heard that who knows.... this week he fell off the hot tub and busted his lip...I asked to take a picture last night when it first happened and he would not let me ...he said no you laugh at me! finally today I got him to let me take a picture for my scrapbook. Thinking of things he has said ...... We went to get his hair cut and the lady who cut is hair was a little overweight....she has a bright pink shirt and a black short sweater over shirt with black pants so easiest way to explained it...it went black, pink muffin top ( spare tire) black sweater . So owen sticks his finger on her roll and says whats that.....I wanted to die! she said oh that is from having little kids like you....thank god! I am sure she went home and cried and maybe did a sit up or two...i felt so bad, but she did blow it off well. of course she got a better tip too! He also say Oh yeah all the time,when he could just say yes... he wants to make deals.... you even have to shake on it.... or if he wants to do something he will say I want to do whatever...does that sound like a good idea? He also learned to say What the Hell? He said a kid a school taught him that one! Well my time is running out hope all is well and talk to you all soon. sign the guestbook to please! I hate talking to myself! 05-22-08 Can you believe it, I watched Bradyn for a about 3 31/2 hours finally at age 10 months.....she might trust me after all and I get him again on Saturday! We had fun, as you see in the pictures he even colored his mommy a picture. I wanted to ask evryone to pray for my uncle Rink he had surgery and is doing good. Kidney and Pancreas transplant, a long road ahead but he has proven again that he is one of the strongest men alive! He is such an inspiration! On a lighter note Owen is doing good potty training, finally it clicked, he still has trouble with number two when he says it you need to go right away, but finally some progress! Bradyn has a double ear infection so hopefully he starts feeling better, the poor little guy looked so miserable on Thursday, it is so sad when you see your loved ones sick. Well hope everyone has a happy memorial day! Happy Birthday Brandy, Aunt Bobby and Zach...love ya all 05-16-2008 Wow it's been two months since I have told you about life.... Lets see....Congrats to Jimmy and Angela for buying a house exactly 60.6 miles from my driveway...boo hoo but also happy for you. I matured into adulthood... I am 30! Joe's car lot is up and rolling, A little slow but still trying to make things roll. He is also working a job on midnights so he is slowly working himself crazy.... Owen says daddy goes to work to buy him dirtbikes and fourwheelers. As you see Owen loves his dirt bike and never stops talking about them. Even his teachers at school I think are tired of hearing it. He is changing so much...He is always singing a new song, which he learned at school. He knows Bingo (of course), farmer in the dell, a bear hunt, skid-a ma- rink, twinkle twinkle little star , Abc when he wants too and I am sure more but just to name a few. We are working on Wienie man ....for the reed family. He also can count to 11 but sometimes skips 5. He tries to spell his name but also sometimes says Owx....instead. He still is a skinny a rail today I put 12 months shorts on him and had to adjust the waste 7 notches. I hope it stays with him....he still is a pretty good eater...doesn't like chicken anymore though. Yesterday we had corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes and I told him to mix the corn an potatoes together so he did he smeared the potatoes on the corn like butter and ate it... too funny. We are still trying to potty train him, he is doing okay if we aren't playing outside, once he starts playing hard he could careless about potty time. This is one part of parenting I think is hard, very frustrating for him and I, I keep telling myself he will get it when he is ready, right! I tell him he can pee outside hoping that will help him....his response...me not a dog mommy! His personality is awesome! He is very ornery, but also gets his feelings hurt, very strong minded and stubborn but also is a cuddlier. He loves to give hugs and kisses.... Almost too much. We had to discuss kisses only on the cheeks because he will kiss complete strangers; he is not shy at all.... Well I hear Owen waking so I must go03-18-2008 My sister, Bud and Nana made St. Patty's Day dinner and it was delicious. Boy how times have changed, I use to be at the bar for kegs and eggs. Hope everyone has a great Easter and I am sorry to miss the get together. I will hopefully bring home lots of pretty pictures. Thanks for signing the guestbook! 03-16-2008 So its been awhile. As you can se we moved Owen into a big boy bed. It got to the point if I would lay him in my bed at night he would go right to sleep so we thought we would try a big bed. His crib converted into a full size bed. It is bigger then I thought but he needs all the room. He has fallen out twice now, he is like a torando in his sleep. The one night he didn't even cry he just sat on the floor eyes still closed calling for me. It is kind of sad but then again its easier then the crib. Although Uncle Jimmy taught him to take all the pillows off the bed and jump off the bed into the pile of pillows. Paybacks! We also have played outside alot. Owen loves being pulled in the sled, and I think Moe enjoyed it too. As you saw we all built a snow man, then had a snow ball fight. We went to the circus....no dirtbikes owen says but he still liked it. Then we all got a little something again. I had strep throat, Owen had a little bug, virus, nana had chicken pox virus....we share everything. But we are all getting back to normal and we are going to celebrate Papa'a birthday today. He is 55. We also are going to color easter eggs. Can't wait Bradyn, Owen and Macey....it should be fun. I'm trying to think of new things owen is doing or saying but I am drawing a blank. He is still into spaceships he always saying one, two, blastoff.....or three, two,one...blastoff. He is still into dirtbikes, trucks, popping wheelies. He says his full name. Mommies first and last and daddies. he sounds like he has an accent though when he says verner. some days he counts really good other days he doesn't. he started saying happy face and sad face for when he feels emotion. I can;t think of much else I will keep thinking and get back to you hopefully sooner. Love you all and hope you have a great easter and drink a green beer for me if you go out! Happy St. Patties Day 02-15-2008 Happy Valentines day! Owen thought Santa brought him his box of candy and monster truck, so then I said no mommy and daddy bought you that, he says Aunt Wendy.....My kid thinks Santa comes more often then once a year. His Christmas did last a long time with both sides of the family. The other night he wanted a snack and he kept saying candy book...Joe and I couldn't figure it out, then he says Santa candy book, he meant his advent calendar. I cannot believe his memory. His grandma Linda called the other night to Thank him for his Valentines Day card and all he kept saying was bring my golf clubs to my house. She bought him golf clubs when we where there right after Christmas and she told him she would bring them home. I think he was just reminding her. No tricking this kid, if you say it you better follow through. Well, I hear him calling me. He is awake talk to you all soon. 02-09-2008 Happy Birthday Aunt Katie! We love and miss you. Owen had a busy weekend he went swimming at nanas in the hot tub on Friday twice, in the daytime and at night. (He likes the lights) On Sunday we tried playing in the snow but it was windy and my four-wheeler wouldn't start. He also went to some bike thing with his daddy.... mommy got to go grocery shopping. Owen learned the song Bingo at school; it is funny to hear him sing it. I tease that he knows how to spell BINGO but won't say his alphabet. He says up to lmnop...but it takes bribing to get that out of him...he is till anti alphabet. He has had a slight cold or something he just coughs once in a while and you know my kid pukes once in a while. Thanks, Sonya for that gene. Pay backs I guess..... Owen is still in love with Animal movies.. Madagascar and the Wild....over and over.... We are going to another circus in March; he is already talking about it.
Joe's lot is slowly getting started...We have a few cars, trucks, vans,.... if anyone needs a used car. Let us know. We are getting business cards made. His lot is called Muscles and More...Let me explain. There is going to be hot rods there also big money stuff I can't begin to explain. Old Cars that look nice but I don't know the first thing about them. If you need something Joe can look at the Auction for you, they have every make and model there. Wish us luck and spread the word.... We need businesses.... Joe is very excited and I am getting there now that I see the ball rolling, it is still going to be a long year but lets pray for a good one. I believe in him! 01-17-08 My son is all boy at the age of two he farts in the bath to feel the bubbles, yes feel not see, and he burps at the table. He does say excuse me but then pretend burps for 30 more times. How does it happen? He is so funny, he is very polite, saying please and Thank you all the time, but now it has changed to Thanks! His new thing is gender. Mommy is a Lady, Daddy is a Man, and he is a Big Boy because Bradyn is a Baby Boy. If you say anything else such as, Joe called me a princess and he said NO daddy she is a lady.....too cute? How do they learn stuff like that so quick. He also semmed to be playing hookie at school today, little turkey....he partied too hard yesterday at the family get together. Hope everyone is having a happy and healthy new year and if you live by us, hope your keeping warm. When I went to work this morning it was 7 degree BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, Gotta love Ohio....Carolina's looking better Aunt Katie 01-13-2008 We made it home, we had a great trip, never long enough but better then staying at home. I forgot to post Owens tattoo pictures before we left, when he came down stairs that night I almost peed my pants laughing.
If you haven't heard the news my husband is opening a used car lot, so please pray for us and hope that he does well. I have faith in him; it is just scary not knowing the UN known. Sometimes I am excited and other times I am scared to death. We cannot succeed if we don't try!
As you can see Owen is changing every day. He climbed out of his crib today. I knew that he could for months now but has never tried, lets hope it was a one time deal seeing he fell on his head and said ouch mommy, my head, help. He has started trying to put us in time outs and saying 2 minutes mommy. He also plays Joe and I against each other, my daddy told me no. I want my mommy... gotta love it. Joe and Owen always make deals and shake on it. So he will say something and then say Deal? Too smart for his age. He also is very polite, he says please, if he doesn't get it pretty please, thank you, your welcome, god bless you. His teacher at school even commented about how polite he was. (It must be the great parenting.Hee Hee)
Oh yeah I forgot about the pictures in Sc. We went to an Amusement Park for little kids, Owen loved it. The gentleman that was controlling the rides liked Owen and he kept asking he is only two and riding these rides. He walked up on every ride and smiled through them all. Even the one I rode with him, I didn't think they would let him ride the ride but he insisted he rode it, so on we went. We were the only ones riding it so they lady said, if he doesn't like it I will stop it. He loved going forward he yelled weee the whole time but he didn't really like going backwards. After riding it, I still can't believe we did it! Of course most pictures are of him on the bikes, go figure. He also met a friend who came to our rescue at Aunt Katie's, her name was Reese and she loved Mickey Mouse Clubhouse too. We had a great time and really miss Aunt Katie. Maybe some day, Katie ...keep talking to my parents...get them to come visit for a while! Well most go I hear the monster stirring... Thank you Aunt Jaymee and Jordan, Thankyou Grammy and Grandpa Bill and Thank You Aunt Katie ...Love and Miss you all! 01-03-2008 So we are on Vacation! We already were in Georgia for a couple of days, we visited Jaymee,Jordan, Vayden which owen called big doggy. ( Great Dane). Sammmie, Amyee, Jacob...It was very nice. We got to see Down town Atlanta and the underground. I took pictures but don't have the ability to load them on Grammy's computer. We are now in Florida at Grammy Linda's. We swam the first day here but then it cooled down. But we went to the circis last night and Owen really enjoyed it. Although dirt bikes came out at the beginning and all he asked during the whole show was were did the dirt bikes go? He liked the elephants too but one went potty and boy he didn't miss that. Mommy elephants poopping and shovel it! We bought him $12.00 cotten candy and he didn't like it! No like sticky mommy...Finally he doesn't like his hands sticky! After the show was over we told him the animals were sleeping so on the way home he said No talking you wake up the elephants..Too cute, well worth it! We were going to go to the zoo, but we ran out of time and the weather has not cooperated. It got down to the 30's last night, and it is windy. We are leaving tonight to go to Aunt Katies, can't wait to see her mommy and I miss her. Well sorry you have to wait for pictures, Love ya All 12-15-2007 Lots of new pictures of our crazy family.. Owen finally sat on Santas lap, he figured out he gives Candy Canes away...or as he says Tandy Tanes. We had to move our candy canes to the top of the tree. I just found out yesterday Owen know the rythme One..Two..Buckle my shoe. He is doing really good with using the potty #2 but a little shaky on #1 better then nothing. He was sick the other day and couldn't help it and he kept saying me sorry dady belly hurts. It just makes your heart melt. I told him the other day I was going to spank his butt for being bad and he turned around and said, NO hit mommy, bad, time out! He also if you smack his hand or he hurts something he says me kiss it all better and moves on.. What they learn. He sings frosty the snowman, thumpety thump.. wellgotta go I hear him..Awake mommy...Atleat you got pictures...Love ya All 11-24-2007 Happy Belated Birthday Bud! We had a very nice Thanksgiving, and Owen did love pumpkin pie. Thanks goodness because he sure did talk about it enough. We tried seing Santa yesterday and he wanted nothing to do with him. I even had our friend Morgane sit on Santas lap because Owen loves Morgane and usually does anything she does but he refused, he wouldn't even come close to Santa. He kept saying no santa mommy, me done, me go...I think I am going to have to slip Santa a 20 just to get a picture, of him screaming on Santas lap. We talk about him and frosty and he watches the movies but I don't think it is helping. I am going to keep trying. Our thanksgiving dinner was yummy, my sister cooked it and it was very juicy...sorry owen is done with his bath and I must go.... 11-20-2007 We are all feeling better, Owen still has a cough but much better. As you can see we already went to Kraynaks, I don't think owen is quite understanding christmas. If you show him santa he says his name and then says toys me or Presents. I have a feeling he will not sit on santas lap again this year but I will try again. My family has ganged up on me and tried turning O into browns fan, Joe calls the Brownies like the food so Owen repeats him and we went to the Browns SeaHwks game and my mom had to keep telling him where we were so know he says Browns! But I guess I can make him be a Bucks Fan. I tried telling him it is too hard on your heart to be a browns fan, I have trouble watching them, it hurts me. By the way Go steelers! He is ready for thanksgiving he says Gobble Gobble at the top of his lungs and Pumpkin pie, I sure hope he like pumpkin pie as much as he talks about it. He probably will we have only found that he does not like Grapes, Popcorn and mashed potatoes. We are lucky he is a great eater. He is still in love with animals, his favorite movie right now is jungle book, we have to hide it and of course the god awful motorcycle movie Sonya bought him with hard hat harry in it. hope you all have a happy thanksgiving sorry to cut you short but I must go my mommy time is up! 10-24-2007 We made another trip to the hospital, As you can see we went to Maize Valley Winery and had a great time, then we were having a fire later that night and cake and icecream for Aunt Sandy's 60 th Birthday. All went great, Owen fell asleep at grandma's so she talked me into leaving him there. At about 2:30 in the morning they call and tell me owen is having trouble breathing. I rush over and he still is gasping for air, so off we go...by the time we get to the hospital he was breathing normal thank god. They took x-rays of his neck and chest thinking something was stuck or possible congestion in his lungs, come to find out he had the Croup, he for some reason had more of what the doctor says an asthmatic croup attack. We were released and were told how to deal with it since it is a virus it will go away on its own. The next morning he had another attack and knock on wood none since. I can tell you that is a sound that anyone can diagnosis once they hear it. Although, Owen had no other synptoms. About three days later he has came up with some symptoms, the coughing, raspy voice, a little late ....but all in all much better. Never ending...Bradyn has been sick too, he has a cold, Grandma had the flu, I had a touch of something yesterday that made me sleep for about 16 hours. More about Owen, potty training is still pee on demand, he is great if you make him go but tells you after the fact and now if you ask him if he pooped he says no I farted. He is a little mocking bird. Today, I was down stairs on the computer and he was at the top of the steps yelling, Jodie....Jodie....I think Daddy put him up to that one. He has called Joe by name if he wasn't listening but not usually mommy. He says please and thank you! Sorry! He counts but its one, two , three two....He really likes two right now everything is two, wether it is or it isn't. He also is into animals, he loves to talk about them but when we take him close to animals he whines but loves to talk about it later. He likes cows, he always says Cows Moonin mommy, he knows all his animals sounds, knows all the kids names in his class along with the teachers. This age is fun if you understand his language you can hold a conversation with him. We all have learned we have to watch what we say around because he likes to repeat it. Well, it is past my bedtime hope this will do for a while, I am glad to see other slacking too. We had Owen's birthday and we had a great rime but it was cold. He is now riding his dirtbike with training wheels. We are working on potty training, he does good peeing but not so good with pooping. I say he pees on demand, if you put him on the toliet he goes but he doesn't always tell you when he has to go. We bought a custom for halloween, he picked it out..of course daddy will love it. You will have to wait and see. We have been pretty busy mommy and daddy had a getaway and went to Rumble on the ridge riding fourwheelers, I had a great time but I was sore the next day. Well, times up he is up from nap, sorry alot of pictures but not stories........... 06-20-07 Can you believe my little boy is going to be two. You ask him how old he is going to be and he says two and tries but doesn't quite get the fingers yet. He is amazing, such a smart little guy, he very hands on and likes to figure out how things work. He says a lot now,went from nothing to talking in sentences. it is really kinda fun, you can have a conversation with him. He started getting pickier with food, but you put ketchup on it he will eat it. He asked Ketchup mama...for everything. He says four wheeler, Shanon which sound like shinen, Bud, Buxy , Maggie , Maggie sush, Jump...he is a insane jumper, everything jumps, even Daddy if you ask him..Outside, inside, up, down, Butter, corn, oot loops, fruit loops, Jim, Jimmy, Bike, Car, slipped, stop, push, no, poppa, Macey, Joe,Bill, Grammy but not very clear,BiBi is binki, He says un, two, ree. For 1,2,3 . Banana, book, boo,juice,cheese..you bring the camera out and he says cheese. I could just keep going. He know all his animals, he can say what they are and the sounds they make. Most vehicle and there sounds..He really likes puzzles.They are like a sponge at this age, everyday he says something new and I wonder how do you know that. He is learning to open doors with knobs. He still has no fear, which scares me, but dad thinks it rocks. He likes to hide and then pop out and say here I am. When he hides he giggles so he is easy to find.We found out he is allergic to mosquito's he swell up and they get real red, they think he will grow out of it. He still only weighs 22.8 lbs , I think Bradyn might pass him right up. He does really good with B but he is starting to play rougher with him, he likes to try to use the Blue Booger Sucker on him, he also likes to hold him but it doesn't last long and he says all done and pushes him off, you must be ready. He calls him baby or B we are working on Bradyn but it is not very clear either.He started getting a little wilder, I told my sister at 22 month he became a monster...I say juice he says milk, I say no he throws him self on the floor. He also is in the stage I help, I do, No help, he likes to tattle too, if I say no he runs to daddy and says Mama no , or mama mean, and visa versa. We asked him what he wanted for his birthdsay or birthday cake and he said daddy jump, bike, pappa. Yep, I complete motorhead already, his cowboy boots are called harwee boots and everything vroom vrooms. I am in complete love with this age, I couldn't be any happier with him and at his worst he is good I got very lucky. I am sure at 16 I will not be saying that. Well I probably could go on forever but I nust go back to work, sorry if this doesn't make since I am on a time limit. See you all soon and thanks for keeping in touch ! 06-27-07 Yep,I am a slacker....We have been really busy, Owen got to meet his Uncle Preston, which is his late Grandpa Verner's brother. He lives in Texas. He loved his bus he drove here. I don't even no what it is consider, a Big Diesal Pusher....Looks like a tour bus and is nicer then my home. Owen loved to act like he was driving it and love beep the air horn. They probably spent thirty dollars in gas just letting him blow the horn. Owen as soon as he saw it called it a BUS so that is why I call it that. Owen is finally talking a lot. He satrted calling his daddy, by his name. He calls him daddy two or three times and if he doesn't answer out comes JOE.... When we pull in our drive way he says HOME..well I am going to finish later my sitter is here so I can Shop...yeh! Sorry I cut you all short.Atleast you got pictures. 06-03-2007 Well, were to begin. We got a new camper so we went camping over Memorial Day weekend. It started off good and then Owen got sick on Sunday. He started throwing up and we could get him to stop approx. 8 times, so we went to emergency room in Andover. They gave him an IV and said he was dehydrated, fed him a Popsicle and sent us home. When we got back to camp Owen got sick a couple more times. So we packed up and came home, this being Monday. He didn't eat or drink much on Monday all he did was sleep and whine. He also got sick two more times, so back to the doctors on Tuesday. I new it was probably going to be bad news. It was back to the hospital we go another Iv and this time admitted. We spent Tues, wed, and Thursday morning in the hospital. It was very scary, my happy baby could not even smile, he had no tears and was too weak to stand. They believe it was a virus of some sort. Stomach flu, intestinal flu. He also after feeling better then came down with a rash, part of the virus, I guess. Not fun, glad it is over. It was real fun chasing him around the hospital with his Iv attached after he felt better. Thanks for all the help and support. Well sorry if this doesn't make sense I am typing as fast as I can while Owen is tarring apart my basement. Enjoy our photo shoot pictures too. Talk to you all Love ya
05-21-2007 Well, I did get some photos on. It takes forever and I am thinkin it is my new camera, I don't know but it makes it really hard. It took me 38 minutes for those photos so please enjoy. Yes Owen had his first big Ouchie, he was just playing in the driveway and fell and busted his lip and Oh yeah his front tooth too! It is not horrible but eventually we may have to do something to fix it. I pray it doesn't turn black. I know this is just the beginning of ouchies...he has no fear still? He is really starting to change, everyday is something new. He is like a sponge, he now pulls wheelies on his bike and says woo hoo... He has seen daddy do too many. Well I must get something done while he is a sleep. Oh yeah we went to check his heart the believe the hole closed and his heart murmur is innocent we don't go back for 2 years. He still weighs 20.9 lbs and I think he was 31 and 1/2 inches ? I think ? Yep the memory is going.....sorry it has taken so long I will try to keep up a little better. Check out my sisters website too. It won't be long and I will be the Best Aunt Ever! That is if he is a good baby...ha ha Can you believe I heard my sister say sometimes I forget I am even pregnant. Hmmm do you think she could carry my next baby because I still haven't forgotton my pregnancy!
