Stories 01/30/2006 Happy Belated Birthday Uncle Rj and Happy Birthday Uncle Dale We had a family get together yesterday, it was very nice. Owen I think had a bit of motion sickness from the long ride to Middlefield. We took Old State until we hit a detour, I use to call that the rollercoaster road. Owen also went for his test. We did find out his bump is a Hemangioma. Which is a blood vessel tumor. It is common in premature babies ans 1 in about 100 children have them. They believe they usually go away by the age of three. His unfortunately is on the midline of his skull so we have to go for a MRI. They need to make sure it is not getting its blood supply from his brain. Sounds bad, but the chances are slim, so we are betting against the odds. The doctor would not discuss the facts on what if it is getting the blood supply from his brain because he says it is unlikely, I looked it up on internet can couldn't find it. He says no need to worry about something until that is the case. Very true but, you all know me I need answers Now! On a happier note he is doing great....Eating like a Pig, he doesn't ever seem to get full. He still is a pretty happy baby. Learned he can do the raspberries now.Hmmm I wonder who taught him that. Oh yeah yesterday Owen drove the Middlefield FireTruck...Thanks Cousin Corey We also had a few friends over on Saturday and we had three babies at my house all within a month of each other. I took a picture I will try to post it soon. Also by now I think word is out so I can say Congrats to our friends...More babies Congrats Jeff and Gabbie and Jeremy and Julie. I think we are having a baby boom. Well must go to lunch now, I will try to post pictures soon. Love you all 01/25/2006 We sold our ouse in champion. We signed papers today. Everything should be final within the week.. We go for "O"'s sonogram tomorrow, please pray for the best. We are going to Beegly Hospital the same place I was in when we went into Labor early. I don't know if I will know immediate results or if I will have to wait. I will keep you all posted. Also.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA VERNER Love and Miss you... 01/22/2006 So the Steelers are going to the Superbowl. I hope all my family members who love to rag on me watched the game closely. Owen is about to grow out of his Steelers outfit, I don't know if in two weeks his feet will fit into it. I think if he can't, I might just cut the feet out of it....(hill billy). Well not too much more has happened, we did get a new kitchen table finally. It makes our gorgeous hunter green counter top stick out even more. Our new project is re doing the kitchen. We are going to try to get most of our cabinets from the sale, and go from there, we will see. My buddy Jimmy is going to be a big help in the project. Hope you all are enjoying the site and GoSteelers! 01/20/2006 Baby Owen weighs 12lbs. 9.oz. Naked 24 1/2 inches long Head circumference 15 3/4 He is in 50 % We also have to go get a sonogram on his bump on his head, they say it is a hemangioma and will some day go away. The sonogram is just to make sure that is the correct diagnosis. We also found out today that he has a slight heart murmur..(Innocent) He didn't take these shots as well as last time, he really screamed, he couldn't catch his breath...very sad. But, overall a healthy young man. While we were there I had two people tell me he looks like a little man. They said there is no mistaken him for a girl. That seems to be a lot of people responses. Doctor said Oh my mom you have an active one, he wouldn't lay still to let doctor check his heart. Yes, I agreed...I think I may get pay backs from when I was little. A little wiggle worm. 01/17/06 Sorry Sonya! I'm telling you when you have a baby your memory is lost some where in delivery. I really enjoy watching Zach play soccer. I miss it.
Owen has started really babbling lately. Last night we called Grandma Linda in Florida, she made him talk to a whole group of people. It was funny I would put the phone up to him and he just cooed, so I get the video camera out and of course he stops. I think he is to involved in wondering what the heck mom is doing with that big thing pointed at him. We go to a well visit on Friday and of course he gets more vaccinations. I will keep you all posted.
Thanks for the help Grandma Phillips 01/14/06 Sorry it?s been so long. Our baby boy was sick again. They say it was just a cold again. Boy it was a bad one this time. He is doing much better now, at our visit he weigh 12 lbs. 9.oz. I believe he might have lost a little being sick. We go back on the 20 Th for his 4 Month shots. Can you believe he is four months already? While he was sick I stopped giving him cereal because he was so congested and wouldn't eat. He did have pedialyte which made is poop bright green. (Yes, Sonja that happens, it was grape just like black licorice.)
I heard a rumor the REEDS are having a party....I believe it is on the 29th its a Sunday. Please someone remind me, or correct me. It's a the Fire Hall, I'm sure its bring a dish and a drink. Middlefield Fire Hall That is...
Not a whole lot has happened; we have been laying low with colds. My sister and Bud had their dogs Man Hood taken away, lets hope that breaks him of marking his territory. We still have a temporary roommate, Jeremy....I think he is going to miss Owen when he leaves or at least Maggie. He has Maggie spoiled she tricked him into giving her treats a million times a day, so know she acts like she has to go outside all day so she can have a treat. Pretty bad she out smarted him huh?
Macey is doing much better, she has been to the doctors and we haven't heard any news yet! No news is good news! But all in all she is feeling much better. She is eating cereal and drinking juice.
Well hope everyone?s New Year is going better then Last year. Oh almost forgot My Husband got Salesman of the Year....Yeah he didn't get anything for it but they said if he gets it next year they will send us on a $4,000 dollar vacation.....I think it is shitty he didn't get anything this year but who am I . He makes me proud. First year ever-selling cars and he move to the top. He is good at his job; unfortunately it takes a lot of time to be good at it. Congrats Daddy! Thanks for all the hard work. We love you.
01/03/06 Owen ate his first bite of cereal last night. It was funny he really doesn't know what to do with it. The Dr. said he is allowed 1 TBS of cereal at night by spoon. He was eating between 35-40 oz. of formula. I think he is having a growth spurt. I was thinking when the Doctor said one TBS whipee that isn't very much, but then I realized after 30 minutes of feeding him that is was probably plenty. So how about those Buckeyes....Great game . Now we will have to wait and see about Sundays game. Sonya I don't ruit against the Browns Only when they are playing the Steelers. So be nice. Maybe someday Jim Trusssel with coach the Browns and I will be a Browns fan...until then Go Steelers! Also anyone with a large fish tank...Larger then 55 gallon....I have two fish I need to get rid of, they are free to a bigger tank. They are Pacu and DO NOT eat other fish believe it or not. Happy New Year may we all become rich........ 12/31/2005 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL We have been pretty busy, our friend is home from Iraq and Texas and he has been staying with us, keeping us busy. I had this week off and it was nice to visit, but back to work on Monday. We are just staying home for New Years and having a few friends over, probably playing TABOO, or I learned how to play...Bones...(Domino's). 12/26/2005 HOPE YOU ALL HAD A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT SHANON So Christmas was a pretty easy this year. We went to AUnt Sonya and Uncle Dales on Christmas Eve and then Great Grandma Phillips on Christmas morning. After that we just went home and got to stay there. We had a house full of family and we played Taboo....Thats our new family game to play, we had a blast. Boys against Girls and yes the boys one. Thank you to everyone who bought Owen presents. I will try to post some pictures but believe it or not I really didn't take that many. SO HOW ABOUT THAT BROWNS VS. STEELERS GAME? Love you all talk to you soon. 12/15/2005 Happy Birthday Owen you are 3 months old today! So Daddy had Owen all day yesterday by himself. He said he was a very good boy, although he realized he eats alot. And when he is hungry darn it he wants it now! He asked Owen how it felt not having Mommy or Grandma and Grandpa two inches from his face all day? We don't do that! Can you believe there is only 10 days until Christmas and I have only boughten a few things. I am so far behind. I took a bath with Owen last night to see if he would like to go swimming and he could care less, he usually splashes all around in his bath tub, but in the big tub he just went limp. So much for that idea.Well, must go back to work............Talk to you all soon. Dec 14 Happy Belated Birthday Daddy and Aunt Wendy So have you all missed us? Now you know how I am feeling......Just kidding, I did go back to work and I do miss my little boy, but that is all part of life. It is a big adjustment, I thought I had no time before, now I feel like I have even less. It will take some time to get in the groove of things. For all of you who were at Joe and Shanon's birthday party the big 30, Thank You for coming. My husband had a really bad hangover the next day. Tequilla made more then his clothes fall off.... DEC 7TH So Mommy goes back to work on Monday....It finally hit me Monday night, I am very sad but know my baby is in good hands with Grandma P. Owen got to meet our friend Jeremy who has been overseas for the last year. He seemed to like him, but I think he will like anyone. Haha . He also finally got to meet Carson, my friend Kandi whom I work with, little boy. We had a play date on Wed. They had fun and Carson is very cute. CONGRATULATIONS DUBLIKAR FAMILY a baby girl, I didn't get much information. I believe her name is Ava, and she weighed 7lbs. I can't wait to see her. Owen is going to have so many girls to chose from....

Dec 2 HAPPY 33rd ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD Owen got to visit with Great Grandma Rigg today, he didn't visit very long. He slept most of the time. Hopefully he slept his cold off. He is sounding better. We might go Christmas shopping tonight if he is up to it. Dec 1st 2005 So I ended up taking Owen back to the doctors. He has had a red raised bump on his head since last Sunday, I thought it might of been a infected hair or a pimple, but doctor says it is just a pronounced blood vessel. I'm still not too sure about that answer. Owen still has his cold. We went to the doctors on Tuesday, he is finally doing better but has a slight cough only at night. They said just let it run its course. They gave me OTC meds but said it may make him fussy, so If he isn't fussy because of the cold I might not want to even use it. They also told me to have him sleep sitting up, so he has been back to sleeping in the bouncy seat. Lets hope he doesn?t get use to that. He has been doing so good sleeping, I don?t want to ruin it. Well, hope Owen got you in the Christmas spirit.
I forgot to tell all you folks that live where it is warm. Owen saw his first real snowfall on the Wed. before Thanksgiving and then a whole bunch of snow on Thanksgiving. Happy Thankgiving to you all. We had a great Thanksgiving, I held it at my house but my family all brought food so it was pretty easy. We had a very nice time. We beat the boys in a game of Trivial Pursuit. Grandpa Phillips was a baby hog! Owen still has his cold, it was getting better but it seems to have taken a turn for the worse again. He isn?t as fussy but is very congested. On Thanksgiving night I had a sleep over with my little cousin Kylie and our friend Angela?s little girl. They both said they would get up with Owen during the middle of the night, would you believe he slept until 5:00 a.m. that night. They still didn?t get up at that time, they opened their eyes and asked what time it was and went back to sleep. We had fun though. Hope everyone had a great holiday and didn?t eat too much turkey. 11/18 So My baby has his first cold. It is so sad, he has a stuffy nose and a slight fever. We don't know if his fever is from the shots or the cold. It is so sad to see him uncomfortable. He just wants held and to sleep. He has little droopy eyes and little sneezes and coughs. It is amazing they can cough at such a young age, I guess a reflex you are born with. Dr. said he will be fine just let it run its course. I think he sounds worse then he feels because babies breathe out their nose 90 percent of the time. Well wish us well and keep signing the guestbook. Oh yeah by the way if you all were wondering the links to other websites are friends and families. I am sure there will be more to come I have 15 friends or family members who are pregnant or just had babies. Is there a Baby Boom? My grandma says its because there is a war going on. Don't Drink The Water (-: Nov. 16th Baby Owen went to doctors today. He is growing like a weed. He weighs 10 lbs. and is 23 1/2 inches. He grew four inches in 2 months. He also got his shots today, he sure did cry. We saw real tears for the third time. We also slept for 7 hours last night. I think it is because he has a little bit of a cold. He started having a stuffy nose last night. Doctor said he is doing great, he is very alert. I went back to work for a day, I subbed for my sub. It actually wasn't that bad. It felt good to be out, although I did really miss my baby. I think it will be hard to go back full time, but somethings you just have to do. I guess I just enjoy this last month.. We will talk to you all soon.
