Stories Jan 2010- Where has the time gone? Kayla just turned 3 and Bode is 4 1/2...getting ready for big changed in our lives for 2010! The kids are loving school and they can't wait to see who has school each day or who gets a "mommy day". I personally love them both! Bode has close friend that he has made last year, Ryan and we get together as often as we can. Ryan has a younger brother, Brae, who is Kayla's age and so the four of them have a ball together. I hope to have more time and keep this updated...Happy New year to you!
Bode & Kayla - Summer of 2009: Where has the time gone? The kids have been one the move this summer and are ready for school to start (tomorrow!). We didn't spend a ton of time in the pool, but when we could it was great and Bode learned to swim underwater and is more comfortable w/o his vest on. Kayla is doing better and just loved to just hang out and twirl around in the water w/ floaties. We have spend time playing basketball, baseball, golf and walking Kiya on the weekend. A ton of time has been spend getting the house ready for sale and it is ready and hopefully someone will buy it quick (fingers are crossed!). Bode has a great friend, Ryan, who they play with as often as we can manage it. Ryan also has a little brother, Brae, who is Kayla's age and the four of them have a great time together. So I will write more, but I just wanted to update everyone and say that all is well and the summer was full of fun and what ever sun we could get!
Kayla - She has grown up so much over that past few months. She is one step closer to becoming a "big girl"...she is now in a "big girl bed" and loving it. Easter this year was amazing, she ran around finding so many eggs and the smile on her face as she gathers each one was so cute to watch. She captured the King family at Easter dinner w/ her telling Daddy..."no, that's my boogers!" She is almost potty trained, we will focus on that after school is over, but she is 80% there. Kayla is so loving, she is taking wonderful care of her baby dolls and anything that she can hold or see (ladybugs, spiders, flowers), she just holds them so gently. I love watching her. She is almost 2 1/2 yr old and I can't believe how the time has gone by... Kayla-Feb 2009: I will do her entry soon. Bode-Feb 2009: We have had a busy month. Bode plays soccer every week and he will be starting his 3rd session and it is amazing how these kids have changed. Today in practice the kids played against the parents and it was great to see the kids (Bode especially) going after the ball, being aggressive and having a blast playing against the parents. So much fun to watch. He has made the decision to go to "Kayla's school" next year...which will make Mommy so happy! But he is loving Creative Preschool and the friends he's made. His "best friend" is Jimmy and for those of you who know my brother Eric...jimmy reminds me of Eric, he has his hair and spunk...so it's fun for us all. He is into basketball and has gone to Marquette/Bucks games this month...watched a friend of ours (Erin Monfre) play her last year for Marquette. He is playing so well with Kayla and it's fun to see...glad we are at this age! Kayla-Nov/Dec 2008: Kayla is at a daycare two days a week & is loving being the big girl of the group (so she thinks). Her class is all the same age & she thinks she is older than them all & calls them all "Baby Jack, etc". That's my big girl! Kayla started a tumbling class & loves to go and jump (which she just learned how to do...we finally got air). She will be starting the next level (now the youngest) so it will be a new challenge when we go back. She & Bode have learned many songs recently and her favorite is "Santa Claus is coming to town" and "Take me out to the ballgame" and songs from High School Musical. I need to record them, they sing all the time. She is turning 2 soon and she sometime acts like she is 12. She is very mothering and comforts her dolls and Bode and also tells them what they are doing wrong (which Bode doesn't like). Kayla loves to talk, sing, dance, read books, do puzzles with Bode and play with her dolls. Kayla keeps us all entertained! Bode: Nov/Dec 2008 - Busy time of year, Bode has enjoyed going to school and loves seeing all of his new friends. His best friends are Katherine & Jimmy. He has taught himself how to write the letters in the alphabet from memory (we are so proud). For his Christmas program they have a song like "Bingo" & it spells out "Santa" and he came home one day and wrote Santa...I about cried. He started in a 3 y/o soccer program and he has really enjoyed going and running around listening to the "Coach". He also has another school he is going to, "Speech School" and he just started there a few months ago and has changed so much. I was the only one that could understand him and now he has learned to slow down and annunciate his words. I was the best things we could have done for him. He celebrated his 3 1/2 BD at school and is already excited about turning 4 (in the summer he tell us). He doesn't stop moving and loves going outside to shovel with daddy. He tells Kayla and I to stay inside while they shovel...fine with me...a job I don't mind sharing (when can he start to mow?)! 1/1/09 - Happy New Year! I do hope yours started off great. Ours started off a bit rough. Bode has been running at temp for 2 1/2 days with a bad cough, but is feeling better today. Auntie Brenna was able to stay over while we went out for a few hours. The home still looks like a tornado came through last week. Now that all the cardboard is fianlly out in the garage, we can see the actual toys! Bode is over flowing with "Cars" cars, semi truck that can carry all the cars and some "big boy" video games. Kayla got a doll house that she just sit in front of and moves around the babies and furniture (very cute to watch). She got some new dishes for her kitchen and with the new dolls, she has been busy making them all food (she doesn't get that from her mom!) I was a wonderful Christmas and now we are ready for Kayla's 2nd BD this Sat. She is just walking around singing...Happy Birthday to ME! She is growing up too quick.
10/04 - Bode is getting ready for his first "field trip" this Thrs to a pumpkin patch. We have told him he can ride a bus once he's 5, and to say the least...he's happy that he gets a chance this week. He's also been pretty excited about the Brewer's playing longer. He loves and points out all of the Brewer's things all over town. Both Kayla and Bode love the "hot dog race" and I end up going on youtube to find video of past races for them to watch it and jump around cheering their favorites on. More pics will soon follow, still editing...
