7-25-09 Tyler had hi

7-25-09 Tyler had his first overnight! He spent the night with oma and opa while Ray and I attended a wedding. It sounds like he had lots and lots of fun with his grandparents. Ray and I had a nice night out and even slept in until 8am! I did miss my little monkey and it melted my heart to see how excited he got when we picked him up. Tyler will be having his second sleep over next weekend when we attend another friends wedding (on my 30th birthday)!

7-20-09 As many of y

7-20-09 As many of you know Ray and I use cloth diapers with Tyler. I have probably already talked your ear off a ton about how marvelous cloth is so I won't bore you with that in this post. However, one of the more challenging things for me in regards to cloth diapering has been finding a good detergent to use. Well, I am hoping that I may have found my answer. The natural baby company has come out with Tiny Bubbles. Here is a little bit about how fabulous Tiny Bubbles is sure to be...

7-4-09 Today is Tyle

7-4-09 Today is Tyler's 2nd Fourth of July! I can't believe that this time last year he was only a week old. He slept through the entire parade passing right by our house. This year is was nearly impossible to contain him. He loved watching the trucks (vroom vroom) in the parade and loved all the bands. He is quite the little dancer and will "shake it" whenever he hears a song. I imagine that the 4th of July will only get more fun each year!

7-1-09 Well, it has

7-1-09 Well, it has been quite a year! Tyler is now 1!! He is quite the little mover and shaker. He began walking around 11 months and is quite good. Although, sometimes his little legs can't quite move as fast as he would like and he takes a tumble. He has a pretty good vocabulary and can say: mama, dada, no, ball, hi, up, book, doh (dog), cheese, and a few others that have slipped my mind at this moment. I love being home with him over summer break. I wish the weather would cooperate this summ

6-27-09 I can't believe my little man is 1 year old today! We are looking forward to his monkey themed birthday party. I made the cutest little monkey cupcakes and can't wait for guests to see them. I have had so much fun planning and am already beginning to plan his 2nd birthday party!

9-19-08 Tyler is 12

9-19-08 Tyler is 12 weeks old! I can't believe how fast he is growing and how active he has become. This past week we began going to baby story time at the library. There were about 20 kids there from about 6 weeks - 2 years. Tyler really seemed to like the songs and watching the other babies play. He began using his bebe pod (infant positioning seat) this week and really seems to like to sit up and look around. I am able to get a ton done while he hangs out in his seat and watches me. He contin

9-14-08 Tyler rolled

9-14-08 Tyler rolled over from his tummy to his back! He did it four times in a row so I'm not sure if it's a fluke or really a new skill. I'm sure he'll be on the move soon!

8-31-08 We took Tyle

8-31-08 We took Tyler to the pool today. We went with some friends and their two kids. We took Tyler into the baby pool but he wasn't crazy about it...too cold! So we spent the rest of the day sitting in the shade with him while he slept. We'll keep trying, I'm sure one day he will love the water! Tyler is smiling all the time at us and the animal friends on his crib bumper! He is also giggling, babbling, lifting his head and chest off the ground, and blowing bubbles. The doctor said he thinks T

8-28-08 Tyler's two

8-28-08 Tyler's two month doctor appointment today. He currently weighs 10 pounds and 13 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long! He had to get his vaccinations today and I am so glad Ray was with me. I couldn't watch so Ray held Tyler' little hand. Two nurses came into give him his shots (he needed three). One nurse held one leg and the other nurse held the other and they counted to three and then gave him the shots and the same time. One nurse followed up with the third shot. At first Tyler had a stu

8-14-08 Tyler went with mommy to work today to get some things ready for my maternity leave sub. I will be home with him until November 24th. I am so glad I am able to spend his first 5 months at home with him. I wish it could be longer! We also went to visit daddy at his new job at the firehouse. Tyler slept through most of the tour of the house and the engines.
