Have I told you lately how thankful I am for all your hard work and the time you spend creating this masterpiece. Well, I just did.
The videos captured all the precious facial expressions of those cute girls and it was like they were performing just for me. I loved it! Definitely the best Dorothy I have ever seen, from the top of her head down to those red sparkly shoes. Not to mention a real Toto! Kelsey was such a cute witch with her big pointy hat, and not too scary! Great job on those jack-a-lanterns,girls and Chris! Brought back the queasiness I remember feeling with Amy and Jim carved a pumpkin when I was expecting Jeffrey! Not my favorite thing to do!
Thanks again for bringing the miles between us closer. I truly appreciate it.
Love and Hugs to all, -Nana
I am pretty sure that Kelsey is the cutest witch I have ever seen! And I love Courtney's costume too -- snazzy red shoes!! You guys take care and hopefully we can see each other again in the near future. Any ideas when you're PCSing? -Jennifer, Brandon, Kaci, and Taryn
Hi Zorich Gang, I loved all the pictures and stories. I didn't realize I was so behind. Lots of stuff - Courtney's first day of school, Maggie the imaginary friend, and my favorite story, the "middle finger". I miss you guys so much. I know it's been a tough and emotional time. My heart and prayers have been with you, your community, and most importantly Katie's family. I hope you've had a nice weekend. Lots of hugs, Christy -Christy
Laura, your girls are beautiful! Great Halloween costumes :) I remember when Christina was Dorothy and I was the witch (except I was the good witch of th north) :) -Erin Odom
Laura, Chris and the girls...just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you guys and all the other friends of the the Friedmans in Aviano. Thank you sooooo much for sharing the pics...they made me laugh...then cry of course. I have soooo many pics of Katie that she took of herself with my camera...and lots of others that were not quite slideshow material. We all were so blessed to have such an amazing and unforgettable friend...even if it was for way to short of a period of time. I am so happy that she had so many amazing fiendettes in Italy with her. Miss you guys so much and hope all of our paths cross again someday even if it is for a short visit. Just hoping that all our our prayers and love will held guide Jon through this terribly difficult time. -Annie and Kurt
Thanks for sharing all those great photos and memories of Katie. I have often thought in the past week how Courtney has handled the news... She's at that age where she understands but doesn't. Thanks for all you guys do... Miss you and hope we cross paths again soon! -Jennifer, Brandon, Kaci, and Taryn McBrayer
Laura, i looked through the pictures you posted of Laura's Life With Katie...so many of them had been on your blog before in the past few years. What a lot of precious memories...aren't we glad for cameras?!!!! I've thought before about the pioneers and immigrants who left home knowing they'd never see their loved ones again; yes, i'm very glad for cameras! -marti ann
Hey Laura, I came across the Fiendette slide show which I am trying to condense to send out but I was going to at least send you the winking photo but I see you have it:) It really is a great picture of you two.
-Farrah Schluter
thanks for making me smile with all your fav katie pics, hugs to you! miss you! -m,k,rb,lt & b
Laura & Chris, Am so sorry to hear about Katie. What a tragedy. Feel so sorry for her family and for you all, I know she was a dear friend. I will keep you all in my prayers. -Love, Lee
Absolutely heartbreaking picture ... and news. It really touched me and don't know what to say. Thanks for sharing with your internet community .... -J
Katie has left Rabbi and the boys in such good hands. You are a dear friend to so many of us. Thanks for being you... Be strong and hug those boys -- and your girls for us. We're going to miss Katie right along with you... -Jennifer, Brandon, Kaci and Taryn
I've had the picture of Katie and Quinn in my mind since i saw it...what...3 days ago?...and i finally figured out why. It's because i'm so very thankful that Quinn will grow up being able to see how thrilled his momma was on the day that he was born. Having been through such a similar thing with my sister's death when my niece was 5 months old, i know beyond a doubt that he will one day cherish this picture as visual proof that he was very, very loved by her. That and he'll also have all of y'all telling him over and over! -marti ann
Life is so precious; why does it take a tragedy to remind us to always make the most of each and every day ... and to tell those we love?! Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who loved Katie. -Dad and Kim (Grandpa and Mama Mia), Alex and Aimee
Oh my gosh...such a terrible thing to have happen on a day that is supposed to be one of the happiest days for Katie and her family. When such a horrific thing happens one pauses to give additional prayers for our families and for hers. Please convey our condolences, our love, and our prayers to Katie's family. I sure wish I was there to help with the girls so you guys could go help her family. -Love, Linda and Tracy (Pason and Grammer)
Wow, what a picture and what a tragedy. Heaven's a little richer today. I wish I was there to try to hug all of your pain and sadness away. Thinking of you all, and sending my condolences to all of Katie's family and friends.
Great update. I see the girls have missed placed those bricks they are to wear on their heads! So cute.
My love, -Mom/Nana
I am so sad with you...my prayers arise with your own. -marti ann

Courtney- you are going to love school. And you are going to be so good at it! I always cried when the school year was over because I loved my teachers and my class so much. I think you might be the same.
Kelsey- I know that you are going to do such a good job of keeping your mommy company. Happy Early Birthday!
Laura- your girls are getting so big. And every time I don't think that it's possible, they get cuter!
Love to all! -Brooke
Congratulations on your first day of kindergarten Courtney! You looked fabulous! :) Laura, I'm sitting here in Dallas at my computer and almost needed some sunglasses to hide my tears!
-Erin Odom
So glad you both survived C's first day of 'real' school. You'll look back on this day when she graduates from high school and wonder where the time has gone. Loved the dance videos..so darling. Dad looks good all covered up in sand..makes for great sunblock! -The Friedmans
Wowzie zowzie...Another first in many to come. Courtney, that backpack looked so heavy!! Your sure have gotten to be a big girl. And like I said you can them tell Kelsey about it when it is her time to go. Pason and I are so proud of you,. I showed the pictures of you going to school to Buster Brown and Rosie and they just barked and barked. They sure wosh they could go to school with you. Can dogs go to school with you? Love ya bunches and can't wait to hear more. -Grammer, Pason, Buster Brown and Rosie
What a great start! I hope that backpack wasn't as heavy as it looks. I'm glad you liked it, Courtney... I knew you would. Now you are "really" getting smarter and smarter every day. And I love what the girls did to Daddy at the beach. Is there video of him "getting out?" Bet that was fun.
-Love, Pop Pop
Woo Hoo! I can't believe it either. In another blink, she'll be graduating from high school. So glad it all went well. And I agree with Amy, what a fancy school bus! Looking forward to more pictures and more stories.
Hugs and Kisses, -Nana
Hi Kindergartener! Glad you had such a great first day. We can't wait to hear more stories of all the fun you will have. And what a fancy school bus - wow! We love you, Courtney, and are so proud of you! -Aunt Amy, Uncle Cody, Hannah and Megan
Beautiful pics of your girls and family! The story of Chris and the bees was funny (and quite smart on his part)! Life seems to be going well for the Z's--Miss you guys! -The VB's
Thanks, Laura, for taking the time to update. You are so good. LOVED the videos of the dancing girls. Courtney and Kelsey - great dancing!! So glad Chris survived the attack of the bees! -Aunt Julie
What a fun summer! Who knew how much you were doing in the States?! Your presence was a joy to many people who got to see you this time. Megan says, "Kelsey on airplane," whenever she hears a plane and Hannah has told us several times this summer that, "Mommy and Daddy are going to stay with the babysitter while Megan and I go to the wedding." Your times together stick out to them, too.
What wonderful dancers! Kelsey, you should be on the drill team like your Aunt Amy. You would do such a good job finding your place on the field and are always quick to cheer on everyone, too! Courtney, you were so graceful and kept such a beautiful smile. We can't wait to hear about all the fun you will have in kindergarten.
Wonderful update, Laura! I know it takes precious time. Chris, looks like you won't be leaving your day job for bee keeping any time soon!
Love and miss you all! -amy =)
Loved the update...and I am amazed at how much Kelsey has changed in the last few months. She doesnt look like a baby at all any more. Beautiful girls. Hope one day all the kids can get together and play. Miss you guys!!! -Annie and Kurt Distelzweig
